The Bible mini-series was a big ratings success for the History channel. Will the follow-up AD: The Bible Continues be a hit for NBC? Will the network want another Bible-related mini-series? If it flops, could they pull this one off the air? Stay tuned.
The AD: The Bible Continues mini-series tells the tale of the later chapters of biblical history (following the Crucifixion of Christ). It focuses on the disciples who had to go forward and spread the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest. The cast includes Juan Pablo Di Pace, Adam Levy, Richard Coyle, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Emmett J. Scanlan, Jodhi May, Joanne Whalley, Ken Bones, Kevin Doyle, Helen Daniels, and Fraser Ayers.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
7/3 update: NBC has cancelled the series. They won’t air a second season but…
Final season averages: 1.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.41 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the AD: The Bible Continues mini-series? Would you like to see another Bible-related mini-series on NBC?
My husband and I looked forward to the A.D. Series every weekend. We will miss it and pray it comes back for a 2nd season.
I hope to see more shows like this one! It really brings the bible to life! Loved it!
Bring it back . For once we have something good
Clean. And you remove it. We have rough trash
On TV as it is.
Move it to the History channel, where it belongs.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK. Thought it was very good.
I tuned into channel 5 to watch The Bible A.D. and it was not on…I was disappointed as I was so looking forward to the next episode. I am not surprised the crap that took its place…and what the heads of the channel line up think we the public want to view…The Bible was entertaining, and I felt engaged. You can keep the show ‘I think I can do that’. you don’t know good TV and what people want.
I agree 100% with you. That’s the dumbest
Show, “I THINK I CAN DO THAT”. NBC
Is not very smart in putting thT dumb ass show on.
Hopefully they better get their heads screwed in right and get back to the bible
I saw enough of the hype to get some feel for it, so I never watched it. Thank goodness PBS had a decent story on! Please, please, please continue with AD next season. Good story and gives a good flavor of the Book of Acts.
The show was a blessing, please bring it back!
Please bring back AD! My family and I have enjoyed our Sunday evenings watching the series. We were quite disappointed to find something different last night. Thank you NBC.
Please do not cancel this series. Love it!!!! There is not a lot of good shows to watch. There is enough junk shows already on TV. If people do not want to watch it they have the choice not to, but the ones that want this and more like it on TV we very rarely get the choice. Not everyone wants to watch all the sex, drugs, crimes etc … on TV. Bring back clean shows for the ones that want them. We do live in an equal opportunity nation. It seems that the TV and movie companies only think… Read more »

Loved the series !!! Thanks NBC. Someone please bring it back for a continuation.
please keep it!!! I would rather watch on history channel than NBC but love the show..was a little slow starting but did not want it to end.
Excellent series !!!! Would appreciate more series on The Bible !!!!
I was very displeased when I had found out about the cancelation! I wondered why would any one do this. Then I had figured, their is so much evil in this world. And out of all the STUPID shows that is aired, you choose to cancel a great inspiring show. Where have we gone in 2015! The person who canceled or even decides to cancel it, listened to the DEVIL and has so much evil in his heart.
I agree with you. I know as well as you do we are living in a time of so much evil in this world.
It’s preferred to have junk on TV.
Satan is going around seeking all he can devour
Those who chose to end this special series will have to give account to GOD ONE DAY
Love the series
Love the series! It is so nice to have Christian and family viewing choices!!! Thank you!!!
I do so wish you to have AD, THE BIBLE CONTINUES.
On again. I counted each day for Sunday to arrive
Sooner. I never missed an episode.
It was very knowledgable and inspiring.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK WITH THE NEXT SERIES.
It’s nice to see it when there is so much reality shows that are sickening after a while.
Thank you
