Is this the sunset of the Age of Aquarius? The word from NBC is that the Aquarius TV show is more likely to be cancelled than renewed for a third season. John McNamara’s police thriller-drama stars David Duchovny, Emma Dumont, Gethin Anthony, Grey Damon, Emma Claire Holt, Ambyr Childers, Madisen Beaty, Cameron Deane Stewart, Michaela McManus, and Brian F. O’Byrne.
Earlier this week, we reported Aquarius, season two, was being moved from Thursday to Saturday, beginning August 27, 2016. According to TV Line, when NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was asked about the chance of the network renewing Aquarius for season three, she said, “I think that’s tough.”
During the TCA 2016 Summer press session, Salke confirmed McNamara’s news about the show moving nights, as was done in the first season. TV Line reports she also stressed the second season will air, saying, “David and the talent are really important to us, and we’ll continue to support the show wherever we put it. We do have to make some schedule changes, but the show’s not being pulled off the schedule.”

Aquarius is a fantastic show! Duchovny and cast are excellent. This story needs to be continued! I was six years old when this happened and grew up hearing about these murders. In Season One I was not crazy about the Charles Manson character but he nailed it in the end. Awesome job and really can’t wait to see more of this show. Please please renew for Season 3!!!
Alot of people did not know About manson,and this show has been well scripted. Watching this much of the show to ,it canceled is rediculious,thanks for half a show n b c
Ultimately a show like this should never have been put on network television, its so obviously meant for cable, the directors cut of season one showed this perfectly.
I really hope it gets picked up by a more suitable broadcaster so the show can have the creative space it deserves.
Why do they always get rid of the good shows. I lived thru the Manson era so I’m enjoying seeing this played out. I think it’s very good as do a lot of my friends. Hate to see it cancelled.

NBC is notorious for cancelling shows. Even though you can be a faithful fan of certain shows, they cancel the show. Leaving you hanging! Moving Aquarius to Saturday nite was ridiculous. Some people have lives on the weekend. At least I record it and watch later. I have been told recording a show does not affect ratings. I don’t know if this is true. this show is excellent and everyone in it is wonderful, i love the era of the late 60’s and i was sitting in Palasades Park in Santa Monica with my family and we had a transistor radio on when the Sharon Tate murders were announced. it was very scary. Please do NOT cancel this show and leave us hanging.
Love this show give it a chance please. There are a lot of good actors on this show give them a chance too please. David Duchovney’s character is great and strong.
