As the sixth season of Army Wives is winding down, last night’s preview hinted that the TV series’ finale is in sight. The promo notes “only four more episodes until it all ends.”
The news doesn’t come as a surprise to our readers as we’ve suspected that there might not be a seventh season for quite awhile but it is the first time that Lifetime has hinted that the show is being cancelled.
For those who missed it, here’s the promo:
What do you think? Do you think there should be/will be a seventh season or is it time for Army Wives to go?
please dont cancel this show. I love it. Been watching it from the first episode and never miss an episode. love the characters, the story line, the reality of it, just love everything about this show. DONT CANCEL IT. At least give us another season and tie up the lose ends. give us a real ending, it was left to open, to many unanswered questions. If i had known from the beginning that it would have such a disappointing ending i would not have watched it. even if you dont want to do another season do a 2 hour special… Read more »
Please dont cancel! I am an Air Force wife and so much of everything they go through on this show is recognizable. Happy times and good times! Please, please, don’t cancel!
I hate to see this show end. more than any show I have ever watched. My Bunco group tlks about it constantly. My pastors wife sets the DVR to record it just incase church activities run late. Please reconsider and bring it back
Do Not cancel. Please~
I hate that this how is being cancelled. I absolutely love and look forward to seeing this show on Sundays. I think that canceling this amazing show would be sad and needless. So many people need a feel good something in their days. This is that for so many people.
Please don’t end the series this way. I love the show. Bring it back.
This is not the way to end a series. I love army wives and look forward to it every season. If you have to end it, do itin a good way, not like this.
I really hope this is not the end of Army Wives, I was raised on post as My Father was in the Air Force and it pulls at the heart strings. I have watched from the first season and I usually have my tissue handy. It really shows the importance of the friendships that are made on post. Your family is not close by so the other Wives and husbands that are left behind when deployment happens become like family to you and you learn to rely on them so much. There really isn’t any other show on the air… Read more »
I don’t think it’s right that we not know what happened. I think it’s a bad ending to a great show. We need “closure”.
PLEASE DONT CANCEL ARMY WIVES!! MY HUSBAND AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING THIS SHOW TOGETHER EVERY NIGHT.LIFETIME IS NOTHING WITHOUT IT.ALL THEY SHOW IS REPEATS OF MOVIES.PLEASE KEEP IT ON.
This is the best show on the air. Please don’t cancel such a wonderful show. You need to bring it back for a 7th series. You can’t leave it hanging like this. That is no way to end a wonderful show like this
It’s not cancelled! Catherine Bell and Brian McNamera both have tweet/facebook that there is at least 10 episodes ordered for season 7. Lifetime is waiting to give the official word about next season.
One of the best shows on TV….so relateable!
Please don’t cancel!!!
Wow…really? That is the way you are ending this great series?? So very wrong if this is truly what you plan to do. If this was the finale it deserved a much happier one. I understand war does mean death to many good people, but this was just a terrible way to let down the faithful viewers. There is enough sadness in the real world we live in, so a happy ending would have been good. Hopefully it does come back with a continuing program to finish it right.
They can’t cancel this show with the way the soldiers just got deployed! For those of us who are in service, or are Army wives, this seems wrong! We all know what it feels like to deploy or miss someone who’s deployed and to take a long time show like this, where we the fans have come to know and love all these characters, just doesn’t seem like an appropriate ending. If the show does have to stop, we’ll have to accept that obviously… But find a way to bring closure to the new story that this season just started.
