What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Freeform cable channel, Baby Daddy stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Tahj Mowry, Derek Theler, Melissa Peterman, Chelsea Kane, Sura Harris, and Kayleigh Harris. The sitcom centers on Ben Wheeler (Bilodeau). After his one-night-stand, Angela (Mimi Gianopulos), leaves their baby on his doorstep, Ben decides to raise the child with the help of his family and friends. In season six, Ben is still searching for the mysterious Elle. Danny (Theler) and Riley (Kane) are on the hunt for a doctor to help with the pregnancy, and Bonnie (Peterman) wants to be involved. Tucker (Mowry) is back from Los Angeles, but he refuses to tell anyone what happened while he was there.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Baby Daddy averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 459,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 18% and down by 18%, respectively. Learn how Baby Daddy stacks up against other Freeform TV shows.
On May 13, 2017, it was revealed that Baby Daddy had been cancelled so there won’t be a seventh season. Could it be revived somehow? Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
While it already has a decent-sized syndication package and Baby Daddy’s ratings have dropped from year to year, this sitcom is still one of Freeform’s better performers. Thus, it was renewed for season six. Since this TV series is a half-hour sitcom, it is cheaper to produce than the typical hourlong drama, so its fate could depend on the success of Freeform’s pilot season. Because it’s still too early in the season to assess whether Baby Daddy will be cancelled or renewed for season seven on Freeform, I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page, periodically. I am so sad! This is by far my favorite show and I can’t help but laugh out loud when I watch it! It’s a feel good, story that is so different from all the stupid crap on tv! So stupid that we finally canceled cable TV and I watch baby daddy on Netflix…. which brings me to the question of …..anyone know if ratings are based on live TV or not? If anything, Netflix should pick it up with their producers and writers to give this show another couple seasons for when Emma goes to Kinder and it’s outta state so Ben(engaged to Elle[perhaps also prego!]) and Emma have to leave. Danny and Riley move out because Danny gets a job with another team and Tucker gets another awesome job but in LA (but without what’s her voice..) while Bonnie and Brad live their life in NY. Just a proper send off!!!
Yes I would definitely watched it.we need more laughter in our lives. They always take the good shows off and leave the garbage on.please put it back on
