The ratings for season three of Bates Motel were way down but a fourth season renewal is coming “soon”, according to executive producer Kerry Ehrin.
When asked when the A&E series would be renewed, Ehrin responded, “In my head it was announced 2 months ago. I am told will be soon.” She also noted that series star Freddie Highmore would be writing a fourth season episode.
The third season concluded om May 11th. The 10 episodes averaged a 0.743 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.8 million viewers. Season-to-season, that’s down by about 22%.

Please, please, please renew Bates Hotel. It is one of the best series on television because it’s so different from anything else. It is one of the few series I can’t wait for the next episode. The story line isn’t for everyone but it touches on a kind of mental illness we never see. Can’t wait till the next group of episodes…….i rate this a number 10……such a great series….a new twist everytime…..no atrocities, no nudity, no bad language…yet…..it is terrific to watch and enjoy what Norman and Norma will do next….almost comical in a way, even though it is suspenseful…….love it 100%….
What a wonderful show and outstanding acting on everyone’s behalf, can’t understand why viewing would be down at all. The absolutely best show out there, you get into the core of the characters, you feel the situations at hand, pulls you into the tv screen, rarely does a show do this, hope there will be more coming.

Watched every episode. Absolutely the best series to come out in years. Series three left open many loose ends and can’t wait for series four. Acting is superb especially Vera Farmiga who’s facial expressions could tell the story without dialogue.
