With Ben and Kate, FOX is hoping for another ratings success for their Tuesday night line-up. Will this sitcom hit the mark or end up being cancelled instead? We’ll have to wait and see.
The first season of Ben and Kate typically airs Tuesday nights at 8:30pm on the FOX network. The sitcom’s cast includes Dakota Johnson, Nat Faxon, Lucy Punch, Maggie Elizabeth Jones, and Echo Kellum.
Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Ben and Kate is going to be cancelled or renewed for season two.

UPDATE: FOX has pulled and cancelled the sitcom. Production has been shut down after 16 episodes, leaving three unaired.

The premiere was in third place in the demo (barely beating the first hour of the DWTS results show) and was in a distant fourth place in viewership. Compared to the season premiere of Glee one year earlier, FOX was down by 48% in the demo and 54% in total viewers. This wasn’t an encouraging start.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I absolutely love this show! It is hilarious! I think all the characters are awesome, including Dakota Johnson as Kate and especially Nat Faxon’s role as Ben and Lucy Punch as BJ. They are just so funny. I hope it sticks around because its the funniest sitcom I’ve seen and really laughed about since Friends ended. Please, please, please don’t let them cancel this one!!!

I am loving this show. I watched all the episodes in Huluplus. I have it saved as a favorite. I love both of the main characters personalities. I hope it airs for quite some time! It’s fantastic!

Loive this show has enough of everything that makes me laugh with out overly filling it with sexual innuendos and tiresome forced attempts at humor. Fox should just keep it on the air as long as it saty between 3 to 4 milltion viewers.
