ABC gave Black Box a straight-to-series order and ordered 13 episodes without seeing a pilot first. They held it until late in the season (typically not a good sign) on Thursdays at 10pm as a replacement for their hit show, Scandal. Will Black Box live up to expectations? Black Box revolves around a beautiful and brilliant neuroscientist (Kelly Reilly) who’s hiding the fact that she’s bipolar. The rest of the cast includes Ditch Davey, David Ajala, Terry Kinney, Ali Wong, David Chisum, Laura Fraser, Siobhan Williams, and Vanessa Redgrave.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Did not miss any episodes. This show is awesome! Is it believable? Yes, much more so than Scandal, Really? Now there is an unbelievable show. I tried watching that one and was bored to death. The black box is exciting, really cool with the illnesses that the people have and the whole story! Please don’t cancel!

Please do not cancel this show. I’m so dissapointed to get into a show only to have it pulled. This seems to be a routine on the net works. Eventualy we all are not going to even get involved with a new show…because they will pull it.

Very disappointed to find that last week was the last of the 1st season.
Black Box is like The TV Show “House”. Both are genius and both of them have some mental or drug additive problems. Everybody has some kind of illness, but they are able to do there job. So do not cancel this show, It is very addictive.
From Kelly Reilly to Aja Naomi King to Vanessa Redgrave to David Ajala; the awesome actors, to the personal conflicts of the characters, to the revelation of lesser known illnesses, and the exploration of the symptoms of bipolar mental illness; this show is captivating!
