Get ready to see a lot more of Black-ish. Deadline reports the ABC TV show has been sold into syndication on BET and FX networks.
The family sitcom revolves around an African-American family who are living the American dream — but that may be too much of a good thing for the family’s dad. The cast includes Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, Marsai Martin, and Laurence Fishburne.
Syndication is good news for Black-ish. The series, which is currently in its third season, has not yet been renewed for a fourth season. But now it’s more than likely ABC will pick up the show for another season, given how lucrative syndication typically is. According to Deadline, BET reportedly acquired the series for a licensing fee of $500,000 per episode and ABC recently sold the show’s SVOD rights to Hulu.
Black-ish will premiere on BET and FX networks in fall 2018.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Black-ish? Are you glad the show will be around more?
