Last year, NBC moved its Blindspot TV show to Fridays, where it fell even further in the Nielsen ratings — far enough that it is lucky it did not get cancelled. Now that it is back for a fourth season, will it be the final one, or will the Peacock Network keep it around until it hits that 100-episode mark? Will Blindspot be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
An action thriller, Blindspot stars Sullivan Stapleton, Jaimie Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, and Ennis Esmer. After amnesiac “Jane Doe” (Alexander) is found in Times Square, FBI Agent Kurt Weller (Stapleton) and his team work to decipher her intricate tattoos. Despite a web of conspiracy and corruption, they begin to uncover the clues therein, as well as Jane’s identity. As season four kicks off on NBC the FBI team hunts a dangerous enemy operative, and a deadly new foe emerges.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
6/1 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of Blindspot averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.261 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Should this NBC TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
**5/10/2019 Status Update: Blindspot has been renewed for a fifth and final season. Details here.
Stop trying to make Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) be more than a one dimensional actor. Need a shift, knock off Kurt and put Jane on a new season revenge quest. Jane can find a new relationship or twoi if it can add sto the story.
I love the show whoever is charge of the background music should be fired sometime you can’t hear what they are saying because of the loud music if it keeps up I will stop watching the show
This show won’t be renewed. The ratings are atrocious. This is on NBC.
I love this show its amazing I need this kind of action in my life!
I love Blindspot (I am in the 45+ demo) & hope NBC renews it for a 5th season!
It’s back on track now. Hope it gets renewed. Except for the short diversion here, it has been a great show, and there is surely much more to do.
I believe the show should continue. I thought they pulled things back together in Season 4.
Free Ashley Johnson so she can return to LA and Critical Role
I love BLINDSPOT! We have to watch it on Hulu because our cable bill was too high! But I look forward to it every week! Please renew it!!!!
Why are all positive comments downvoted and all negative upvoted? İ can’t see why people don’t are allowed to have their own opinions… what a world, its only a tv-series. Not a lifechanging thing…
I mean, people are allowed to have their own opinions. But people are also free to disagree with those opinions.
I enjoy watching the show.. can’t wait to see what season 5 has to offer.. #BlindSpot
This show is amazing, I hope it is renewed for season 5, I look foward to it every week!
This season is so good! The ZIP that was used to erase Remi’s memory in order to become Jane is slowly killing her. She believes that she is Remi again and must carry out her original mission at the FBI, but her Jane memories are slowly bleeding through. Jaimie Alexander is incredible!
I agree love this show.. can’t wait to tune into season 5
It WILL get cancelled this time. The ratings are atrocious. I doubt Crazy Ex’s ratings are this high. NBC really spit on this show after the first season, when it had great ratings. A real shame.
If you really love this show, start praying that Netflix picks it up. The ratings are really atrocious. Even Elementary has better ratings than this. I stick with my above comments.
Don’t forget that Crazy Ex is on another channel
Season 4 is not interesting compared to previous seasons. The fact that Jane is turning against her FBI partners after all that she has gone through in previous seasons does not make sense. We still tape the program but don’t feel an urge to watch it as we did in previous seasons. We will watch the new episodes when nothing else is available to watch. Too bad that the plot was changed so drastically…☹️
Hey Pierre
Agree with you. Plot has become unbelievable, writing / acting is poor and just cant stay interested. First couple of seasons were good but I think it has to go. I tried to watch episode 2 last nite and couldn’t make it half way thru.
This season 4 is confusing, frustrating, and not at all fun to watch. Either kill off this so-called Jane (Remi) character, or get back as she was in season 2 and 3. Very disappointed in the direction of this show.
Keep watching it gets much better.
