ABC is airing two Boston medical series this summer — Save My Life: Boston Trauma and Boston EMS. Will either be a success in the ratings. Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
On Boston EMS, viewers “ride along” with the proud men and women of the Boston Emergency Services — some of the same first responders who answered the desperate calls when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon in 2013.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
8/23 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Boston EMS TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Will all of the goofy reality shows finally one that matters. I don’t have cable so my shows are very limited. I love real life medical shows. Since I lost cable trauma in the er is one show I really missed not having
I liked both shows also. I hope they come back next summer. I really enjoy the medical shows that ABC broadcasts during the summer months.
I love both shows. Boston EMS and Save My Life. I hope they don’t cancel them. But what you say is true. ..when we love a show they cancel them.
Love Boston ems. Hope it doesn’t get cancelled
THEY DIDNT LAST YEAR. I LIKE
Jerry is absolutely CORRECT! And since Boston EMS is so incredibly good, there is no doubt that ABC will cancel it … particularly because we really like it. Now that I think of it, the TV Networks are transforming into federal government agencies more and more every day. Run for your lives!
Why should any of us commit to any of the networks series ? They’ll cut it in a heart beat if it isn’t high enough in the ratings not caring one bit about all those who took time to pleade with them to give the series a chance. NOT ANY MORE!!!!
