The competition for ratings on Monday nights is getting tougher and Castle’s ratings were already on the decline last season. Will it survive to see a sixth season or will it be cancelled after more than 100 episodes? Stay tuned.
The fifth season of Castle typically airs Monday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The cast includes Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Jon Huertas, Molly Quinn, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Seamus Dever, Susan Sullivan, and Tamala Jones.

Year-to-year, the Castle debut was down by 34% in the demo (vs a 3.2 rating) and down by 21% in viewers (vs 13.28 million). It was the lowest demo since April 2012 and the lowest viewership since February 2012.
Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.71 million viewers.

These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. Have been a big Castle fan since I discovered the show during season 2. I do find myself losing interest as the show seems creatively stale. Don’t expect the series to last more than one more season (if it gets renewed).
Castle is one of my favorite shows on television and currently out of all the shows I watch, probably the one I have enjoyed the most this tv season. Everything about the show is perfect and the cast is spectacular. Like others have said I’ve got all my fingers crossed for a season 6 as they simply can’t cancel it after season 5. That would be a disservice to the fans of this wonderful tv show. Please don’t cancel Castle. It is one of the best shows to ever exist on earth. It’s everything a brilliant show would have. I’m like literally glued to my bed when I watch Castle. Castle makes me feel life and happy. The chemistry between each character is amazing, the actors do a fantastic job, the writers do a brilliant job too. Castle is my favorite show, I can’t get enough of it, I don’t miss an episode, I can’t wait for monday nights to watch Castle.
Almost caught up to the 5th season. I can’t get enough of this show. I love the chemistry between all the actors, especially between Nathan Fallon and Stana Katic. Keep the show going please.
Just started watching Castle a couple months ago … really enjoy this fresh approach ! Nothing else quite like it on the tube … hope it will see a sixth season for sure 🙂

New to Castle and have watched TNT reruns. Stana Katic is the most beautiful woman on TV. Show is worth just to see closeups on her face.
