Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

Very disappointed to see it’s cancelled!! Show was a refreshing change from the constant overdose of ridiculous reality shows, sci-fi, horror, & violence in so many shows.
I am very disappointed that Cedar Cove will not be returning for the 2016 season. Every year since the show first aired I have been eager for it’s return and making sure to watch each episode. I will really miss the anticipation of watching my favorite show.
Was obsessed with Cedar Cove, great cast, beautiful setting. I am so upset it was canceled and of course want to see it return in some format, maybe a movie, to find out how it ended for everyone. Keeping me awake wondering who Olivia chose.

I was shocked that such a great program was cancelled. I was really looking forward to seeing what would happen with my favorite characters. If you had to cancel the show, why didn’t you have a wrap up to all the story lines?
After watching advertisement for new show coming this summer and not seeing anything about cedar cove I googled to find out when it was starting up this summer and I am very disappointed to learn it was canceled. I always looked forward to watching this over the summer. I think it is one of the better series on hallmark.
The best series on Hallmark by far. After watching season 3 on DVD again, while watching Good Witch; the difference in nuance, character development, and depth is night and day.

I went to google to see when the next season would start and was soooo
shocked to see it was cancelled.!!!!!!!!. really Hallmark? what is wrong with this picture? Why cant we keep decent quality shows for once without all of that garbage on the reality shows . that I refuse to call entertainment. Please reconsider, At least a movie . By the way I am fed up with the repeat Christmas movies.The same ones over and over each week.!!! Please reconsider bringing Cedar Cove back. It was such a beautiful place !!!!

I really loved that show and would at least like to see another season to get the loose ends tied up. I hope Hallmark will bring this back. Just because the actors/actresses are in other shows does not make it the same.
Loved being transported to this unique quaint community. Very disappointed that it has been cancelled. Why was there no series finally? Would have been nice to have loose ends tied up.

We were constant watchers of cedar cove but the story lines were getting tired and sappy I. The third season Needed sone excitement really fell short . I did like the intro of her mother and her story and will read the book to see how Charlotte makes out . Basically Cedar give was quaint and beautiful bug is too small of a community to carry a story any longer than three wonderful season s . Love love the good witch and the story of hope valley .
