Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I was very sorry to read that there will be no season 4 of Cedar Cove.
Please bring this back some times channels cancel the best shows and add on cheaper ones to make that aren’t as good. Please bring it back. I read all the books and it is a very good show
I am sad to see Cedar Cove was cancelled, I will never start a new show that you have to watch weekly. I thought Cedar Cove was safe from being cancelled. 🙁
I really liked the show. I really looked forward to watching it with my wife of many years. Was saddened when I looked to see if it would be following the seadon finale of The Good Witch and saw it has been cancelled.

We need Cedar Cove back! Only show with authentic relationships that isn’t smutty! It’s beautiful scenery was theraputic and the characters demonstrated how life could be if we looked to feelings of others more often. It was the kind of show people really needed.
Why????? I completely loved this show. Extremely disappointed to hear the show is cancelled. Every character—yes, even Warren—was a pleasure to watch. Hallmark, please bring the show back!

Can not believe this great show has been cancelled. Great drama without the explicit, unecessary language on so many other tv shows. Incredible actors that brought these characters to life, you feel invested in. And then there’s the beautiful scenery. I even looked into the possibility of moving to Port Orchard, WA myself. Come on Hallmark, do we really need another “mystety” series.
Please bring back Cedar Cove. I loved the show and my 16 year old grandaugher did also. That is something that we watched together.
Saddened to know of Cedar Cove cancelation. Didn’t think Hallmark would let 1 million viewers down without a final season to give us some answers. Very disappointed.
