Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I really liked the show Cedar Cove and looked forward to each week’s show. I really wish it was not cancelled. Season 3 ended with such suspense that I was looking for some resolve. Please bring it back/
This is a great show, please don’t cancel it. Ratings are poor because it is hard to figure out when it starts every year ! Please reconsider!

I’am so sorry that this show has been cancelled I was so looking farward to the new season,but noticed that my other shows were coming on ahead of what I thought should be Cedar Cove time to be on after it’s brake. Please reconsider bring it back.
I loved this show – I rarely find a series that I like, but this one is my all time favorite. I saw it on Netflix, and then purchased season 3 online. I was horrified at how it ended – just leaving everyone hanging. I couldn’t believe the didn’t finish the story! Please plan a season 4 and end it well! Omg!! Please bring cedar cove back on! It was a great Saturday night story and loved the small town feeling and the characters. Stop cancelling all the really good shows!
I am very disappointed this show was cancelled!!!!!!! I enjoyed this program so much and was really looking forward to it coming back on. I don’t understand why cancelled!!!!! Just left all the Cedar Cove fans hanging. Please bring back on!!! I watch Hallmark all the time and I really looked forward to Cedar Cove. Thank you.
The should have created a season 4 with a series finally to wrap up the show.
