NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I agree with everyone else!!!! It was a great show. Our entire family looked forward to watching this show. I can’t believe the producers think Minute-to-win-it is a better show and I definitely don’t like the host. PLEASE bring it back and give it a chance.

Are you kidding me, I really don’t like watching t.v but when I first watched chase, I was hooked, and now they are removing it. wow NBC really needs to get there heads checked, cause I am telling you people really liked that show

They replaced it with garbage. Chase was well written and a lot more enjoyable than “minute to win it.” NBC needs to wise up. That show was competitive with Blue Bloods. Maybe another netowork would pick it up. You can always hope
I love Chase. We had to DVR it because we’re not home at the time it aired. It’s fun and entertaining.
Please bring Chase back. We really enjoyed the show. Seems like the shows we like get cancelled. Makes us want to quit watching TV, nothing to look forward to.

NBC is really messing up. They bring new shows on to cancel them. Them they bring new shows on to replace the ones they cancelled and can’t even keep those shows on. Every time they put a good show on, they cancel it. They cancelled Trauma, then Mercy, Undercover, and now Chase. Why is it that they can cancel the good shows but they keep the crappy ones on? Come on NBC, Bring these shows back on!!!!!!!

What are the NBC producers smoking??? This is an awesome show!!! They have truly lost their minds!!! They may want to consider firing the current producers. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you have to give a series a little bit of time to catch on!!! As far as the ratings I wonder if that counts the many viewers who DVR all their shows and watches them later???? Geez do something smart and bring it back!!!!
