NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

i thought this show was great!!
i’m so sad.. esspecially because minute to win it replaced it.
seriously?
I love the show!!!! don’t cancel
Chase is one of my favorite shows please don’t cancel it
My husband & I really enjoyed watching Chase. It was exciting, funny & worth watching. I will be upset with NBC if it get cancelled.
Put The Chase back on in place of the goofy The CAPE show
Please don’t cancel, we love this show. It probably had low ratings because it had to compete with Monday night football. Wednesday is a packed night with Criminal Minds and many other shows. Put it back on Monday’s and show us how this all turns out. You can’t leave us hangin’!!
don’t cancel the show my husband & I enjoyed if very much
Other than “Chuck”, “Chase” was the only other thing I watched on NBC. Don’t see how they can alienate viewers the way they do and expect it to do better.
oh don’t cancel the show! like that show CANE that was on – a good show that got cancelled. we want Deputy Marshall Annie Frost back on TV!
I hope this show is not cancelled! If NBC decides to get rid of it, I hope they can at least sell it to another network. I love this show so much, being that my family has been involved in law enforcement. It is so riveting and realistic. Every show is original.
Bring it back and line it up with the Event again!!!
the show was awesome. what is it with networks cancelling the good shows and leaving shows on that are no good???
since nbc can’t keep movies such as CHASE and throws in game shows which IDO NOT CONSIDER AS SOMETHING TO WATCH AFTER 7p.m . When I AM IN FOR THE EVENING THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN AGOOD MOVIE .CHASE WAS ENJOYABLE TO WATCH AND A VERY GOOD SHOW.GUESS IF NBC CAN THROW OUT A GOOD SHOW GUESS I CAN QUIT WATCHING NBC.
WOW!! This sucks! I watched every Monday and one Wednesday. Yeah, the Annie character is a hottie, yet I liked the whole theme. I concur with Becky and the rest of the lot. Hmmm.
Perhaps we’ll all see these kids again. Really?
Don’t cancell this show it is great. I always look for it during the week and couldn’t figure out what time it was coming on… Don’t get rid of this show…….
