NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I hate NBC, just when I thought they had something to offer they screwed up again. CHASE is a great show, highly entertaining and worth looking forward to from week to week. Best show of the fall premeires on all channels. Hope NBC gets it together!!!!
I HATE the show Minute to win it. NBC is way off track by pulling CHASE. It was entertaining and kept my attention waiting for it from week to week. I thought it was a great move putting on before Law and Order SVU. Two hours of great TV is something I only get on Thursdays from ABC. Prime time TV sucks I think NBC should really reconsider that bad decision!!!

The show they replaced it with won’t last…it is mindless crap. They need to show the remaining shows.
It’s obvious that ratings are not accurate and are not read properly. Chase is a fantastic show. It shows us females what we are made of. Annie Frost can take down any guy at any time. Very cool. Inspirational. So, what do we have to look forward to but more reality . . . yeah, let’s watch obese people lose weight, and maybe for fun they will have a show where we can watch the grass grow. Now that’s exciting.
I loved watching Chase and can’t believe it didn’t have good ratings. I don’t watch the replacement shows – I watch another channel. This is a very good show …NBC – bring back Chase.
Chase is such an interesting and spell binding show to watch. I much prefered it over Hawaii 5-0. I can’t believe they want to cancel it!!! I surely hope not—can’t take any more reality shows. Please bring Chase back and give it a little more advertising as to when it will be airing so the public will know.
I love the show myself, I love the plots and the actors! I am seriously giving up on NBC and they need to bring this back or I may just cancel my viewing of NBC all togther

it was my favorite show , i was wondering where it went , and just now decided to google it and saw what nbc did , thats too bad , atleast i hope to see the shows that didnt air , not sure why it failed i found it very good , too bad , good actors and great stories , bummer
I cant believe it. This freaking sucks. I love chase it is a great show. But if its not some dumb reality show about some idiot in their life or a game show we can say goodbye. They cancel everything good that comes along. For what some idiots on tv looking for love in one season. Yea thats real I really see how that makes sense. Put a reality label on the show and its all set. Meanwhile everything good on tv is getting canceled left and right.
I was an avid watcher of Chase. I even followed it to Wednesday. The problem with the time zone on Monday was Hawawii 50 which had an early start on chase. Now on Wednesdays it went against American Idle. If it were me put it on Friday or Saturday night. There is absolutely nothing to watch except Who Do You Think You Are, after that it’s a dead night. I was impressed with the show I hope it’s not cancelled.
I love the tv show Chase. I don’t know why they decided to take it off. All the good shows get taken off and all of the stupid ones stay on. 🙁
I WANT CHASE BACK, NOW
NBC Sucks…Minute is entertaining but mindless. Any time something comes on requiring people to pay attention, it gets cancelled. Regardless of the network – if the people are too dunb to watch anything intelligent, what do we have to look forward to but more reality (that’s not that real) or cartoons or gameshows.
Chase was a GREAT show….how about trying another night when there is nothing on TV…like sunday nights…I am just getting sick and tired of getting myself into shows and then the network cancelling them. Gee…5 million viewers…..that isn’t enough????????
