NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

I love Chase. How do they know how many people watch a particular program. I have never been surveyed on what I watch.
you would figure as much as those guys make you would think they were smart enough to place such a great show like chase in the line up, so lets hear it bring back chase
I refuse to watch anything else on NBC.
im with you on that
One more stupid move by the idiots that run NBC.
I really look forward to seeing Chase. I will miss it! They shoudl test the Sunday night slot with the remainder of the shows.
That would be a great place to put it.
Chase is a great show. Totally not interested in Minute to Win and will not watch it. Bring back Chase !!!
The Event and Chase were the only two shows we watched on n.b.c. Hope Fox or T.N.T
will pick them up.
Agree totally….I’ve always watched Law and Order SVU, but Chase was the only other interesting show on this network. I’m not looking to watch a gameshow. Maybe a network with a little more “umph” will pick it up, or NBC will wise up and promote it a little better. Awesome show. Leave it!!
I loved CHASE. Please bring it back. Annie and the gang is very entertaining.
Minuete to Win it sucks thats for sure!!!!Me and my Girlfriend can’t believe what we even just read!!Chase is an awsome show and thats really just unbelievable!!!!First the economy and now this?LOL But seriusly I can’t believe this!
I think the network is out of it’s mind. Chase is a great show, one might say it is a thinking persons crime show with attitude. NBC could have done a better job of promoting the show. They could have sandwiched it between to strong programs, but to cancel the show has pissed me off.
Do me a favor, sell it to FX. Network television is such a joke. Thank God NBC did not get it’s hands on Justified. Good bye NBC.
Perfectly said. Sell it to fx. Chase is great
Myself , i liked the show would not miss a episode, but I thought the gal that headed the group was a bit to macho, she was the only one who tackled the big guys and what did she weight 90 lbs, a little bit unrealistic and just because she wanted to die trying to catch the bad guy doesn’t mean the rest of her men should do the same.
maybe nbc should try to air it around 8pm or 9 pm
I MISS CHASE LOVED THE SHOW. CANT BELIEVE THEY WONT AIR IT ANYMORE. THE SHOW MINUTE TO WIN IT IS VERY STUPID CANT BELIEVE CHASE GOT REPLACED BY IT SO STUPID!
i love Chase . They need to bring it back.
I love “Chase” and the cast. I have worked in the legal field for 34 years, some of which was in State Court where criminal cases were tried. I loved being with police officers, undercover, FBI, prosecutors, etc. on a daily basis. I love Annie and Chase so much that I would quickly leave church after the Wed. eve. service was over so I could get home in time before Chase started. I would make my hot bowl of popcorn and love every minute of Chase. No talking was allowed in our house except during commercials. I would like to… Read more »
