NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

The show was warming up let it go full tilt. Run the show on off season as a summer replacement. NBC should smarten up like USA; run 6-8 shows, break and then bring back for 6-8 shows, having people want more. However, after the Leno-Conan debacle I don’t think that is possible. The execs at NBC go out of there way to screw up. Bring Chase back NBC!!! Move the time slot!!!
Chase was an excellent show, intelligently written…perhaps that is why it didn’t make it, no dumbing down for the masses.
Chase is a great show, the cast is excellant, the story lines are good and the action is top notch. Its the best show on nbc.
Bring back CHASE … it was one of the best, and only show, next to sports that I watched on NBC.
I loved chase I watched every show if I was working I would record it. They need to bring it back.
I was dissapointed to hear that Chase was given the thumbs down by NBC. The numbers don’t lie and they need better ratings to validate the cost. I agree, they should have promoted it much more and perhaps a better time slot. I thought the show was well written and the plots were interesting. I sincerely hope another network picks it up.
One of the better shows; why run it up against American Idol? That is suicide for most shows.
Chase was the best show on NBC. Cancelling Chase would be a huge mistake on their part. For sure don’t care to watch anything on else, especially a min to win it. That show is a joke. Annie and the gang are the best actors in any shows like this I’ve seen. I really hope another tv network picks it up.

chase is an awesome show. it was a pretty realistic show. i thought it had a lot of viewers and shocked at the amount that was said. great acting from all and the show always kept you engaged. i never wach the minute to win it show it was replaced by. freakin stupid on how they play that suspensful music just before the person does the act
I would rather watch chase over minute to win it any day. I really got into it, my husband and I never missed a show, its just great. I really hope NBC will bring it back and soon………..please!!!!!

Chase was a wonderful show, I cannot believe that NBC dropped it. I was just discussing that NBC used to be my favorite network, now I never watch it. BAD DECISION, NBC!!!
Omg I can’t believe y’all took it off for some stupid reality show. I love chase the cast everything about it. Please put it back on. Maybe you should advertise it more
