NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

KEEP THIS SHOW!!! this is one of my favorite shows on tv..once again the networks are cancelling another good ass show and wont even give it a chance..it hasnt even gotten through the 1st season!!!!
What about the people that actually liked the show??! Quit with the weak ass game shows already thats what GSN is for..! No wonder why CBS is the highest rated network on tv cause they actually keep good shows
I absolutely loved Chase and talked to a number of people who watched it. I don’t know how the ratings are computed but this is a quality show that should remain on the air. At least we should be able to see the remaining episodes.
Give me a break NBC. Minute to Win It is awful, and my husband and I both looked forward to seeing CHASE every week. BRING BACK CHASE!!! No more bonehead moves, please.
It was a smart and intelligent show. I liked watching it. Enough of these reality or game shows, show something with substance.

Ok I have had enough of NBC!!! First they cancel Undercovers and now Chase!!! Really?? This show has nothing but ACTION!!!!!
I agree! Annie and the gang rock! Best action series on tv so far!!! Bring it back, there is nothing else to watch! Put it in an earlier time slot and you will get viewers, I stay up way past my bedtime to catch every episode, it was worth it!
AS USUAL NBC HAS MADE ANOTHER STUPID DECISION. THIS IS A GOOD SHOW AND I WILL NOT BE WATCHING MINUTE TO WIN IT. THEY SHOULD AT LEAST SHOW FIVE UNAIRED SHOWS. THIS IS WHY NBC WILL NEVER BE NUMBER ONE.
This is why NBC has the lowest ratings. The good shows get cancelled early. I’m a big fan of JAG which was an NBC show they cancelled, only to have CBS make it a hit for years. Maybe CBS can do the same for Chase. This was the only NBC show I watched.
I really like Chase. It was not promoted. The people and script were both very good.
Chase is a very good show. Replacing it with a game show is a sad commentary on US tv watchers.
Bring it back and put it in a good time slot.
Chase is a great show. They better at least air the final episodes. It never fails, I and all my friends, like a show and it is cancelled. Why even bother to watch TV?
We too have watched every episode of Chase and sincerely wish NBC would bring it back! Minute to Win It is stupid and we have never, nor will we ever, watch a single episode of that!!!
Well, thats about 5.44 million viewer NBC just lost. A minute to win it is a joke! Chase was a great show. It NBC’s fault for not advertising it enough. Let Chase air at an earlier time? Give em the chase for people to actually watch it! This was the only show I cared to watch on NBC. They for sure just lost me as a viewer. (Chase: Annie and the gang- you guys are awesome!)
One of the very few TV shows that I watch each week. I love this show. It is well written, great action and actors, and I don’t have to worry about graphic content that my kids shouldn’t see. There aren’t many shows anymore (except CHUCK) that you can watch as a family any more. It’s a good action adventure that we can all watch together. It’s getting discouraging that when you finally find a good show and you just get hooked into it that the networks cancel it. I am getting whiplash from all of them the past 2-3 years.… Read more »
Please! Please! Bring this show back! It’s one of the best show’s on TV right now, who want to watch a game show in place of this action packed series?????It’s well written, it’s a show that is full of surprises and have you jumping up out of your seat, “Oh no!he/she didn’t just do that!WTF???” Wow! that’s how exciting I find this show, Please bring “CHASE “back, there is nothing else to watch, forget about Housewives from wherever and all those crappy reality and game shows.
