NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

This is (was) a great show. I loved it. Excellent acting and believable characters. And compelling scripts. Unbelievable NBC got rid of it. I must have an outlandish taste in TV shows because they all seem to get cancelled lately. And brain-numbing game shows to fill the void that Chase leaves? Sorry; not interested.

This was a show that my family and I can watch.We watched every show !!!!! Please bring the Annie and the gang back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t believe this crap. I LOVE this show. As usual NBC can’t get fans to invested because they pull the plug too soon. So why get invested?
I adore this show and one of the few things I would look forward to watching weekly. The team was an awesome blend and we never really got to know much about them all.
Annie and Jimmy have a chemistry that is simply sublime and now NBC just pulls the plug without notice for A GAME SHOW?????

It is a shame that NBC cancelled CHASE. I feel Jerry Bruckheimer had another good show (should had given it to CBS), but unfortunatley it was NBC. This was the only show I watched on NBC, since the other shows bore me, which definatly includes the Minute to Minute game show.
I think they should bring back Chase. A show my husband and I could both watch, Action and Drama all in one show. BRING BACK CHASE………………………… Stop cancelling shows after just a little bit, give it a chance. Move it around, Change the time or day…. Don’t just dump it, cause you will just lose viewers….
One of THE best shows on TV!!! I can’t believe that NBC would be so short sighted to get rid of it. We may not fit into the “Perfect” demographic but love it just the same!!!!
We loved Chase, Cole Hauser is a favorite of mine. For the life of me I can’t imagine why they cancelled it. The show was based out of Houston, I am from Texas and the towns they were in I am familiar with so it made it fun to watch. NBC never fails to disappoint. We have started watching Harry’s Law guess they will cancel it next because it’s funny and serious at the same time. Congrats to Kathy Bates she is tremedous in the show. Lets hear it for the Baby Boomers!!!!!!!!!

Chase is an amazing show and I can’t believe the numbers the network is saying the show got for viewership. The show is like watching a great action film every week! It’s got some of the best action scenes I’ve ever seen on tv! Minute to win it is ok, but come on, if they played the game any slower I think everyone watching would fall asleep from complete boredom! Please don’t cancel Chase!!!!!!!
I love chase. Why would they do that. And replay it with another name show. Everybody don’t like those game show. I hate them.
