NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

We’re very disappointed in Chases cancellation. We loved Annie and cast and the new twist on “cop shows”. How cool to see a female in a lead action role so passionate about her work. We hope to see it come back and replace one of the many “reality” or “Law n Order” shows….
It seems like in today’s era of television watching that if your show is not number one, it is gonna get cut. I am beginning to feel like it is a waste of time to even get involved in prime time television. Also there seems to be a rule out in tv land that after 1o years or 10 seasons that the writers have writers block and the show must be canceled. Every show cannot be number one. Very disappointing cancellation. Chase was definitely a favorite of mine. I chose it on Monday nights over Hawaii Five-0. Probably the biggest reason it didn’t take off was because it was going up against that show. Personally I wish NBC wouldn’t cancel the show and give it at least one more season. The characters were really just starting to develop, especially their personal lives. The biggest disappointment of this cancellation is the replacement, Minute To Win It? I looked forward to the show every week! I miss it. Could it have been the wrong time slot, or are we not ready for a tough female lead?
MY WHOLE FAMILY LOVED CHASE, I FAITHLY RECORDED IT FOR MY HUSBAND WHO DRIVES A TRUCK, BUT NEVER WANTED TO MISS AN EPISODE, NBC NEEDS TO BRING IT BACK. IT WAS A GREAT SHOW. COME ON NBC BRING CHASE BACK
this is just like nbc to pull thing or try show the season finally like they did with las vagesand they wait to show friday night lights. this is why nbc is last in line of the big 4 when it use to be the onw i watch the most now it the least wait i cant say i wacth any thing but chase and friday night light when it on on there.
I love this show. My family and I have been all of the episodes, really enjoyed them and found them to be unique compared to all the other shows currently airing. Please don’t cancel the show!!
We love Chase and watched it every week. If we were not able to watch live we DVR’d.
Sure it is not the most believable storyline, but what TV show is? We love the actors and will miss this show.
Please, Please, Please do not cancel “Chase”. It breaks my heart not to see any new Chase episodes. Every week I look forward to seeing a new episode of Chase. Annie Frost is my role model. She is a leader and just awesome!!! My whole family feels the same. Please don’t make us suffer any longer. We need good shows.

I am so disappointed that this show is gone!!! I have watched every episode. I loved the action in it and a female lead in a crime show is so refreshing! Please bring it back.
Chase was a great show. My husband and I watched all the episodes. NBC as usual, screwed up.
This is a great show minute to win it get real this is a joke I am so tired of these shows we finally get A GOOD SHOW and then is replaced with a joke like minute to win it get real and listen to the people
I think NBC is stupied for cancelling Chase, it was a good show. Take off some of these nightly games shows, I’m about to switch to totaling watching non major network shows, which I know NBC couold care LESS!!!! I want CHASE BACK!!

We loved the show. There are very few shows we watch consistently but this was one of them. My husband thought maybe if they would have had a consistent “villain” who was sort of always out of reach it would have spiced it up a bit. I liked the casting…big mistake.
