NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Quit cancelling good shows or rearranging the schedules so you never know when your show is on…..
It was about time there was something worth watching on tv then the dumb networks take a perfectly good show, good actors, good plot, and replace it with retarded minute to win it. Ugh and they wonder why people cancel cable and don’t watch tv anymore.!

I enjoyed this show as well as some of my friends. We looked forward to Monday nights to see what happened next to Annie!!! It is not often that I watch a series or anything on NBC for that matter, go figure the one show I enjoyed they want to cancel. BRING ANNIE BACK!!!

BRING IT BACK I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD SHOW. I THINK IT WAS COOL TO HAVE A TOUGH WOMAN COP. AND SHE IS HOT! I WATCHED EVERY EPISODE.
Was the best show on NBC. NBC never gives a show enough time nor do they try move it more to find the day/time slot. CBS rules in the action TV shows and this is another reason why – NBC doesn’t give a show enough time. I’ve had too many shows I like cancelled and the majority of them are NBC cancellation.

CHASE! BRING IT BACK! My wife and I really like this show. We will never watch Minute to Win it in it’s place.
I’ve watched every episode, when I could find it, but I’m starting to wonder why! The show is frightfully boring and very predictable. The main characters are not really likeable and someone with a junior college education could write better scripts. Perhaps it IS better if it never returns, but please, no more game/reality shows, OK?
This is a super show with great casting and good story telling. CBS didn’t publicise it enough! Annie was great on All My Children, and if Chase is cancelled I hope she finds a prime time home on ABC and brings all her soap fans with her.

I agree with Karl 100 percent, it was one of my favorites, I looked forward to it every week. Not only will I not watch minute to win it in its place I no longer watch minute to win it in its regular slot. Very dissapointed, BRING IT BACK
