What’s This TV Show About?
Code Black takes place in an Emergency Room in Los Angeles — the busiest, most notorious ER in the nation. The staggering influx of patients often outweighs the limited resources available to the devoted doctors and nurses who work there, creating a condition known as Code Black. In season two, the cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Rob Lowe, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Harry Ford, Luis Guzman, Melanie Chandra, William Allen Young, Boris Kodjoe, and Jillian Murray.
Season Two Ratings
Airing on the CBS television network, season two of Code Black is averaged a 0.97 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.98 million viewers. Telly’s Take
After a lackluster first season, some significant changes were made to Code Back for season two. Unfortunately, the changes didn’t seem to help and the ratings have gotten even worse. I suspect that Code Back will be cancelled by May. The television vulture is preparing to call a time of death on this medical drama.

I have watched all the shows of Code Black and have enjoyed being part of that audience. I eagerly await each week to see what happens to all the characters. We have just started to see into the main ones and I hope to see more stories about each of them. Looking forward to another wonderful season to continue .

My husband and I DVR this show and absolutely love it. The cast works well together and the script is so authentic of a city hospital. Good messages throughout. The addition of Rob Lowe was outstanding. There is so much empathy from viewers for the staff and the patients. My husband and I sit with the Kleenex between us, but it’s all good sad and happy tears… it’s LIFE
Please renew Code Black for Season 3! Maybe it belongs in the category “Best Show You’re Not Watching”, given the shockingly low ratings. This IS one of THE BEST shows on TV. The writing of the season finale was sone of the best I’ve seen on TV. I find it difficult to believe that CBS hasn’t decided to renew this amazing show. I look forward to watching it every week.
