After months of waiting, fans of the Continuum TV series finally have an answer to the question, “Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?” The Syfy series has been renewed for a fourth season but this will be the final season as well. Six new episodes will wrap the series.
Continuum revolves around a female police officer (Rachel Nichols) from the future who gets caught up in a conflict that spans between 2012 and 2077. The cast also includes Victor Webster, Erik Knudsen, Stephen Lobo, Roger Cross, Lexa Doig, Tony Amendola, Omari Newton, Luvia Petersen, Jennifer Spence, and Brian Markinson.
Here’s the renewal announcement from Canada’s Showtime channel (where the show originates):

What do you think? Are you glad that Continuum is returning for a final season? Do you think the show should have run longer?
One of the best series i enjoyed so much.
Scenes, scripts, images and GREAT ACTORS i just discovered.
I am quite dissapointed and cant believe its ended cause i was looking forward to see the next episode in those outstanding seasons.
I am also very proud of this canadian production.
Didn’t even know continuum had even started it’s new and final season. Didn’t see any ads for it. Wasn’t even in my tv book. I discovered it by accident when going thru OnDemand and saw that there was 5 episodes 401 thru 405. Went searuching to find that they were showing it on Fri at 12 mid to 1am. Saw the last episode 406 tonight 10/23/15 and learned that on demand already pulled off episode 401 so I won’t even get to see that one. So we will have to binge watch episodes 402 thru 406 this weekend. That’s if… Read more »
It is a real shame this show is in its last season. The scripts were wonderful and it is one of the very, very few shows that treat time travel in a believable way. However, according to what we know as of today and per Einstein and Hawking….we can go back but not forward. Maybe they have worked that little problem out in. the future. Either way, this will be a sad day when this show ends. Not enough advertising the show in the first place. Try to keep it on the air. O great, only 6 means that they will cram it all up into quickly…
I am so glad that you are going to make AT LESAT 6 more episodes. I am so sorry, since I really like this series. Thank you and PLEASE Comtinuemmmmmm!!!!
Is it going to be on Netflix??? PLEASE say YES!!!!
Glad to have some closure, to many times networks reward loyal viewers by leaving them hanging. I stopped watching fox when they canceled “Dark Angel” years ago. Good to know I can still trust your network.
Love all the intrigue in this series. Glad to see that it is renewed. I just hope that I did not cancel the set up for it to be recorded — OR WE MISSED THE LAST 6!!!!
only 6 shows for the final season? How about one show every week for the whole year.and then add another season. Thank you
I’m sorry to see this show end. Of all the shows I have ever seen, this one best illustrates the potential dangers of technology out of control, mixed with a society dominated by corporate masters. In many ways, this show describes where our corporatized society is heading. My sense is that delivering this message was the primary intent of the show’s writers, and that they capitalized on time travel because it was an exciting and attractive way to implant the message. I can only wonder if this message stepped on some toes, and as a result, the producers received pressure… Read more »
I agree that the show points to the problems we are having right now where companys get too powerful and democracy is going down the … you know.
I don’t thing though that they had any pressure to cancel the show – it just got somewhat boring and the viewers broke away – its just “marketing” that kills that show – like so many before (Take Flash Forward for example)
I just hope they come up with another cool idea for a new exciting show!
Should run many more seasons, to.cool of a show compared to.other syfy shows, too many loose ends for just a six episode rapup,no stars for wrapping it up,so sad. Avad syfy fan
