Hayley Atwell’s last ABC series, Marvel’s Agent Carter, lasted two seasons before being cancelled. How will Conviction do in the ratings? Will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A legal drama series, Conviction follows what happens when attorney Hayes Morrison (Hayley Atwell), the daughter of a former President, gets “blackmailed” into joining the Conviction Integrity Unit. It’s a NYC department that re-examines cases when there is suspicion of wrongful conviction. The rest of the cast includes Eddie Cahill, Shawn Ashmore, Merrin Dungey, Emily Kinney, Manny Montana, and Daniel Franzese.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/26 update: Although not officially announced, Conviction has been cancelled by ABC. Details here.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Conviction TV series on ABC? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
5/12 update: ABC has officially cancelled Conviction after one season. Details here.
After viewing “Not Okay” episode I’m no longer impressed with the show. I loved the show prior to this but its storyline is to far out there.
I really do love Conviction, please keep this shoe on the air. Shouldn’t go by the ratings last night 1/1/17 because it was the last Sunday night NFL Football game & it was on at the same time.
0.4? ABC would be complete idiots to not cancel this show. Even Agent Carter was getting a 0.7 when it got cancelled.
It is going to be cancelled. The ratings were a disaster before the 0.4 If ABC wants to save it, move it to Cable, where a 0.4 is acceptable.
We love it , Don’t cancel it , there’s not that many good shows on
Don’t cancel. It is just taking a while to catch on. D
Yes, maybe it will get a 0.2 or even a 0.1 by the end on the season.
