Commissioned by BBC AMERICA, singer-songwriter, Sam Beam – the artist behind Iron and Wine – recorded the classic American song for the period drama and gave it a modern edge. RollingStone.com has the Exclusive Stream of the track today.
“We wanted to find a song in the classic American musical cannon that still resonated today, but also spoke to the world of COPPER, and give it a modern twist,” says Matt Stein, SVP Marketing, Promotions and Creative, BBC AMERICA. “Sam’s ethereal voice has exactly the perfect blend of soul and sorrow, which conveys what’s in store for our characters in the second season.”

What do you think? Are you looking forward to the second season of Copper on BBC America?
Can’t wait for the new season to begin. Gives a fresh perspective on the era. Love the Corcoran and Moorehouse characters the best. You know they’re going to keep things interesting.
I starting watching Copper last season because Kyle Schmid (Blood Ties) was in the series. Just had to see him on the screen again! I found I really enjoy watching Copper and the story-line. One of the best new programs to be released. The writing is new and full of twists and unexpected turns. Horay for S2!
Copper makes history interesting..as do the characters portrayed. Yea! It is strictly for mature audiences though!
Can’t arrive fast enough! Kyle Schimd’s character is intriguing. Is he a good guy or a bad guy???
“Oh Maggie, most definitely! Kyle has been embraced by so many of us since his very early days of soggy bottom orchestra, and Alley Cats Strike! He is one of the most kind, versatile actors of today and has more than earned his status. Kudos to Copper and its shining cast the old world feel of long ago gives us a backdrop that is as human as any drama can be while making the leading man a true hero of all ladies and gentlemen alike; I am extremely happy that it has been given a second season and hope for… Read more »
Without a doubt I’m looking forward to seeing Season 2 of Copper. Starting watching it because of Kyle Schmid (have followed his career since Blood Ties) and continue to watch it because of him and Kevin Ryan. Actually the whole cast is awesome but those two are my particular favorites. I’m enjoying Ato Essandoh as well, in addition to Anastasia Griffith (who I watched in Once Upon a Time). All of the actors are superb and the writing is out of this world. Just about the time you realize “Oh no they didn’t”, they did and then some. Watch it… Read more »
