A decade or so ago, CSI was one of the highest-rated TV shows on network television. It spawned two spin-offs — CSI: NY and CSI: Miami — and each had long runs before being cancelled. Will CSI: Cyber also find ratings success? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On CSI: Cyber, Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI. It’s a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world. This crime drama also features the talents of James Van Der Beek, Hayley Kiyoko, Charley Koontz, Shad Moss, and Peter MacNicol.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/11 update: CBS has renewed CSI: Cyber for a second season.
Final season averages: 1.39 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.11 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the CSI: Cyber TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love this show and look forward to it each week. Always fun twists to the plot…never predictable. Enjoy the chemistry between the team…just the right sense of humor to make me laugh each week and truly makes the show an enjoyable experience. Explores a cyber world we all can relate too. DO NOT CANCEL!!!
Watched the first one. Very disappointed. Tech, story, acting was all not worthy of coming back. Though, I remember when CSI first started, the science was quite bad. I had to wait 2 years for that show to be watchable.
CBS will give this show another year to mature, but they really need to tighten things up.

This has got to be the absolute worst CSI of them all. The acting is horrible and everything just feels like its staged. Please cancel this with extreme prejudice.
I think I get it now. “CSI: Cyber” is the 21st century version of “Get Smart.” Only, in the original “Get Smart,” the stories were more believable.
I think it is a great show. The characters grow on you. Plus the story lines keep you thinking. I also like the moral messages they seem to convey. My only problem is it is making me paranoid and more cautious about my electronic settings. Hope the network gives it more time to develop.
CANCEL! ! !!!
Love this show, so much better than almost every other offering out there.
Please cancel this painful show. I cannot believe CBS cancels Stalker and replaced it with this? Her teeth are awful, and her acting is worse. How did she win an Oscar? Story lines, everything with the tech is very, very sad.
In the machine laguage it says :

There are so so many great possibilities for story lines here.
Several years ago in rural central Illinois, there was a breach in a water cooperative that officials thought came from Russia. True story. It turned out it was not from Russia, but it took some time to figure it out.
What a great story this could develop into for CSI Cyber.
Cyber is such a disapointment. At least Miami had a campy appeal but this is unbearable. I should mention van der beek has no range and the relationships between the techs are just too cliche in the 21st century. It may have worked a decade ago but today… Cancel it or re-cast and find new a writing staff.
The episode aired on April 8 was the worst thing I have ever seen on TV. Not one believable moment, from the discovery of an i-Pad on top of a shoe box containing a bomb under a movie theatre seat, to the holographic reconstruction of the bombing scene, allegedly from cell phones, to the tracking of the iPad’s hard drive after the explosion (which would have shattered like anything else, except that iPads don’t have hard drives), to tracking down the bomb maker through the hard drive, the bomb maker expecting them to find him under such improbable circumstances, and… Read more »
i agree with you on this, i also love how they can travel from NY to Miami and every where between and beat the local law enforcement. Or travel from DC to Miami and beat a plan that is in the air and only 300 miles out.
And let’s not forget that most of the characters are bad hackers that committed a federal crime, so let make them FBI agents.
I was going to watch the third episode just to see if the show could get worse. Unbelievable but it did. Watched ten minutes or so then shut it off and deleted it from my series recordings. The only worse show I have seen was Cop Rock many years ago
Arquette is a horrible actress so is Van der beek. lol this show sucks get some new leads who’s directing this and thinking they are doing a good job .
If the story isn’t well written there is little chance that the actors can’t do a credible job. The writers for this show aren’t good story tellers. Too much concentration on the technical aspects of the story and not enough in character development. If an actor can’t find who he/she is supposed to be from the writer telling the story they come across as very stiff and with little depth of character. Arquette did a great job in her last tv gig Medium because the writing was spot on. The show needn’t be cancelled if they can find a story… Read more »
The tech is so “lame ass movie low budget fx” that its painfull… The plots… Nope!
