CBS has moved CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to Sunday nights at 10pm this season — typically a sign that a show is on its way out. But, could the ratings turnaround and start to rise? Will the venerable series be renewed for a 16th season or will this be the end? Stay tuned.
The original CSI continues to follow Las Vegas crime scene investigators as they try to solve bizarre cases. This season’s castmates are Ted Danson, Elisabeth Shue, George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, David Berman, Elisabeth Hamois, and Jon Wellner.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/13 update: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has been cancelled but will wrap up with a TV movie.
Final season averages: 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.26 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a couple weeks later.
For comparisons: The 14th season of CSI averaged a 1.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.93 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the CSI TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a 16th season?
Please don’t cancel this series. It’s still very interesting. The actors are fantastic and talented.Fans are still watching it. Whatmore does CBS want?
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Please please please please!
Don’t cancel it!!
CSI has been too good for too long. It’s been good to you CBS and so have the viewers who have stuck with this show for 15 seasons. CSI and the fans deserve a farewell season. Do the right thing. This has been an incredible show and it deserves an incredible final season. Not the kind of ending that season 15 had. Come on CBS. CSI has earned this.
They cancel CSI and leave immoral fifth on TV. What’s wrong with this picture.
Don’t cancel my favorite show it’s an amazing show that I hope to see renewed. PLEASE RENEW!!!!!
I completely agree! Out of all the CSI’s that I’ve watched, and I’ve watched them all, this was my favorite!!! WTH CBS! Is it really gone?
I’ve been watching this show from the very beginning it’s a very good and I would love to see the renewal of this show please renew.
I love this TV show it’s amazing and I would be heart broken if CSI went away so PLEASE RENEW!!!!!!
LOVE CSI Vegas. There are no zombies or vampires; just people dissecting a murder to find a killer. The cast is great. Great show. PLEASE RENEW. PS I don’t think CSI Cyber is going to make it.
The demographics has to change because the viewers of this show started watching when they were 18-49, you need to look at 33-64 and that will bring the numbers up. Bring back CSI Las Vegas, us old-timers love this show!
CSI should continue for season 16. This is a good show, it shouldn’t be cancelled. They have already cancelled a good show CSI Miami leave this one going.
Ted damson brought show back to life cbs u really cancel the wrong shows u have problems I love this show get with the program even csi my was great very bad decision also put back NCOs and ncis Los angelos same time New Orleans next t bad but no compariso
We love this show. I cannot believe that the powers that be at CBS have trouble with basic math. The show gets moved to Sunday night after football, which is a DVR disaster every week and of course the ratings plummet. Notice how the ratings jumped on the one week when the show aired on Tuesday instead of Sunday? So lets put the season finale on the Sunday Night that not only do we have NBC running the 40th anniversary show for SNL, but ABC runs additional Bachelor episodes. Your target audience knows that they can watch CSI on Demand.… Read more »
The thing I don’t get is that this show has been their best drama for many years, and even though the ratings have dropped in recent years, it is still a highly popular show, so why would you cancel it? Let’s look at the probability of piloting a show that will actually attain the numbers that CSI has achieved in it’s wain. With the shows I’ve seen advertised lately, most new shows look boring or overdone, so I don’t see them getting as good or better ratings, so what is the point in changing. Let’s just be honest here… ratings… Read more »
I FINALLY LIKE ALL THE STARS IN CSI-VEGAS AND YOU ARE TAKING IT AWAY. WHY? IT’S ALSO THE BEST SHOW ON SUNDAY NIGHTS
I was very disappointed in the series finale of CSI Las Vegas. If this is the best the CBS writers can do for a show that people have invested 15 years of their time in, then CBS will no longer be a network that I tune in to. To the CSI Cast from past to present you will be missed and did a fabulous job. To the CBS executives and writers pull my finger.
I love the show. And why would they switch it’s time slot that was ridiculous. It shouldn’t be cancelled
