It was a disappointing return for the folks at Southfork. The season premiere marked a series low in viewership and nearly matched a low in the demo.
Reference point: The first season of the new Dallas averaged a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.42 million total viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the new Dallas TV series? Are you hoping that it’s renewed for a third season?
I THINK THEY SHOULD JUST END THE SHOW,WITHOUT LARRY HAGMAN THERE IS NOTHING TO CARE ABOUT WATCHING IT!LET THE SHOW DIE IN PEACE WITH LARRY.HE WAS THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THAT SHOW.NO ONE CAN REPLACE HIM!
Bring it back for a third season. It’s been a very well written show and has been very good all season for the most part. Monday nights in Winter are not a good time as there are other shows on at the same time. This is one of the better shows on TV right now – broadcast or cable networks included!
love the new Dallas. I hate all the reality TV shows on the air now. Just give me back the TV I loved to watch in the 80’s
OMG! This brings back so many memories. This show is just as great as the old one. I look forward to watching every week. Great Show! Two thumbs up RENEW
Love Dallas, please continue on!
This show Dallas is so enjoyable. My Ma and I can’t get enough of this show. She’s been a fan since the original 1980’s Dallas.
I hope they don’t kill off, that actress that originated in The Fast & The Furious franchise.
Please renew for a third season! The show must go on.
IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS,I THINK THE WRITING AND THE ACTORS ARE AMAZING.I LOVE THE SHOW,IT IS FAST PACED AND NEVER BORING.I THINK IT IS A MODERN DALLAS.TO ME I THINK IT IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL.JOSH HENDERSON AS JOHN ROSS IS JUST AS RUTHLESS AS HIS DAD,HE IS A BRILLIANT ACTOR.THE SHOW IS WAY TO GOOD NOT TO GO ON.I THINK THEY SHOULD MOVE IT TO FRIDAY NIGHT!
John,
I thought you said you wanted them to let the show die? Are you having mixed feelings about the show?
Dallas NEEDS a 3rd season, so many things going on, it can’t just end. I have been watching Dallas since the 1st season, and it’s amazing, I have also gotten my fiance into it. There is still so much that needs to happen.
I love to watch the new Dallas. I think that it is just as good as the first series. In fact, I think that it is better. True, J.R. will be missed, but the show was called Dallas. The storylines are terrific. One of the highlights of my week is this show. Keep it on!
I love Dallas and I look forward to watch Season 3. I was a fan in the 80’s and a fan now. Renew Dallas for a third season.
We absolutely LOVE Dallas! We hope the show stays on the air. There are some fantastic actors on the show especially Josh Henderson, Bobby’s new wife, Sue Ellen, Bobby Ewing & Cliff Barnes daughter.
I LOVE IT!!! so glad it returned – nice to see all the old faces again too but the story lines are great too, and the new actors terrific. I HOPE they do not cancel this show…..even without JR, its still going to be great. I look forward to every episode and haven’t missed one yet….people I work with too!
This has been a real treat having Dallas back on the air. I hope that there is a third season and keep JR’s memory alive and what he tried to do for Christopher and Bobby at the end. I would rather sit home on Mondays just to watch Dallas than do anything else.
Put it back as a summer series. That’s why it did so well in the first season.
we need to keep Dalas running inmemory of JR I have been a avid fan of the Barnes and Ewing fued since the 80,s this seasons ratings have a lot to do woth the 11pm time slot. This is too late on a midweek and I would urge channel 5 to review their decision.
