Last year, USA Network cleaned house; cancelling or ending TV shows like Rush, White Collar, Burn Notice, and Covert Affairs. They have several new shows in the works and are hoping that series like Dig will bring better ratings. Will Dig be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? We’ll have to wait and see.
On the Dig TV show, a dedicated and headstrong FBI agent named Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) takes a job stationed in Israel under the guidance of his new boss (and occasional lover) Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche). While investigating a young American’s murder, Connelly uncovers an ancient international conspiracy — one that threatens to change the course of human history. The rest of the cast includes Ori Pfeffer, Melinda Page Hamilton, Alison Sudol, Regina Taylor, David Costabile, and Lauren Ambrose.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
7/1 update: In some promotions, the cable channel is encouraging people to watch “the entire series” on demand — an indication that the show is over.
Final season averages: 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.21 million total viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Dig TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Yes, the different locales (and their subplots) don’t always seem to go together; however, as an archeologist must sift through dirt to find treasures, I’m working on “sifting through” the layers of the characters and their stories, to hopefully find the answers. I’m looking forward to the 5th part next Thursday (4/2/15), the five-episode “DIG Marathon” on Saturday, 4/4/15 (5:30-11:00 PM EDT/4:30-10:00 PM CDT; CYLL). Hopefully, seeing everything together will answer my questions. ~~~~~ As much as I’m enjoying seeing the sites (and sights) of Jerusalem, Croatia, etc., I really would like to know about other parts of the world,… Read more »
I hate when people in comments try and act like freaking television critics and try to use big vocab words. Dig is a really good show, I didn’t even notice the commercials, its fast so what at least its not some stupid ******* reality TV bs like most ****** TV shows that populate the stations. Overall its really interesting and I can say it deserves more seasons. #TURNT
After two months of watching all the hype commercials & all the other commercial s one must endure to get thru a show I do like& there aren’t many, I was already. Knew I would be disappointed. I did watch 1st episode & I was right, a mystery, maybe, but who would know since it follows a direction of most new shows & movies. Just too fast, too much running & chasing , quickly changing the sciences, themes & locations. Not nearly enough time spent on content, intelligible conversation & communication. Because it contains so many topics, I am interested… Read more »
I will no longer watch Dig b/c
1. The scenes are so dark that one cannot make out what is happening
2. There is very little show to watch. The time slot is mostly commercials. Timed it
today. Three minutes of show and 9 minutes of commercials.
I just started watching it and I think it is pretty good. I can’t wait to catch up d see where it is going. My wife dvr’d it for me so I will be watching it this weekend. I hope they don”t cancel it so I can catch up.
You might also want to watch the “DIG Marathon” (Pilot through “Emma Wilson’s Father”) on Saturday, 4/4/15, from 5:30-11:00 PM, EDT/4:30-10:00 PM CDT (or CYLL). The 5th ep will be repeated at the end of the Marathon.
Just awful. Gave it two tries, but the disconnected fragments distract from any “storyline” that might have been possible. Additionally, so many implausible situations, and errors in actual history (even small, seemingly unimportant things) make this a non-event for me. The acting is amateur (yes even from the good actors involved). Add 30 minutes of mind-numbing commercials and I’m no longer even mildly interested.
Like the show but the number of commercials is daunting, for a one hour show, there were almost half an hour of commercials
To many freakin’ commercials!
So far I like Dig. It kind of reminds me of X-Files. I hope it makes it.
Never insult X-Files like that. This is nothing like X-Files. X-Files was interesting, unique, exciting and frightening. This was just boring.
I really enjoy watching Dig so far! I have to watch it on my computer as I don’t have cable service. It’s a well written show and I’ve had to do some research to understand the plot angles. There seems to be a double or even triple mystery going on. I don’t quite understand all the angles yet, but I’m looking forward to finding out more! I love a show a show that challenges my intelligence!
Now that there are 2 Roses, I’m going to change my name on here. ; )
I watched Dig, but I can’t get into it. I will give it a few more weeks, plots get better with time. So we have to give it room to grow.
another .4 show for USA. what a shock.
So far I like Dig … let’s see where it goes, give it
TIME !!!
We are really enjoying “Dig!” The introductory showing on the making of Dig helped a lot, and made the whole show more understandable. The scenery, esp in Israel, is wonderful. I truly hope this show lasts, because it’s the first one in a long time that we’ve liked this much.
We also were sorry to see Covert Affairs dropped so quickly with so much unresolved! Very unfair to the viewers as well as the excellent cast.
I watched “Dig” each week but still haven’t been able to connect the puzzle pieces. I adored “Covert Affairs” and, yet, it was cancelled. I’m not quite sure what it takes to get TNT to maintain a show other than stupid sports! If it wasn’t for “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Perception” I’d never watch TNT. C’mon guys, get it together!
