It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I really like this show and look forward to it each week. As someone who doesn’t have cable/satellite or similar TV service, there’s not much new for me to watch during the summer. “Dogs” is different and entertaining for us dog lovers. Much prefer it to most of the reality shows and hope it lasts. It gives some basic insight into to the cause and cure for various behavioral problems but isn’t intended to show treatment from start to finish. I wish it were on more than once a week.
I love this show, I really look forward to it every week. Justin is great with the dogs and their people. I really hope you keep this show on, it is such a pleasure to watch a show like this instead of most of the junk that is on. Most of the shows are the same thing, only the name is changed. Give us a break, let us watch something fun that makes us smile
I love this show. I have 3 dogs and am a real dog lover but not a great trainer. I think it is great to show people how dogs can be trained to adjust to our lifestyles and still be very happy dogs. And Justin is great with the people as well as the dogs. Not too hard on the eyes either!
Renew the show. He does have some common and dog sense. I only wish he would stress the importance of spay/neutering your pets. Also, be honest and tell people how long it takes to get your dogs attention to give them a turkey reward, or to walk commonly by your side with all those stresses in the park , BTW what if your dog is not a food reward type of dog?
I love this show! And I’m not even very fond of dogs. He really knows human psychology well. If they know a good thing when they see it, they will RENEW IT!
it should be renewed. It’s a great show, Justin is cool. I love the show and my dog loves to watch it.
Good show, informative. Wish I coud personally as him a question.
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! Its very helpful. I think he is much better then Cesar Millan!!! Justin is very good at handling animals and people!!!! LOVE HIM, I VOTE TO KEEP IT ON THE AIR…. Take off the Kardashians!!!!!
Everybody out there if you think they should get rid of dogs in the city you are wrong
We love the show
I enjoy the show and I am trying some of Justin’s tips. I would like to get in touch with him, as my dog has some major issues.
Cancel this crap already and Bring Back CSI Miami…..even my Aunt who happens to be a dog lover (dresses him up, and let’s him eat at the dinner table) says this show is stupid, this is not a dog lover show, it is another REALITY show telling us how to do things….her words…
if you aunt dresses up her dogs in human clothes and lets them eat at the table I can see why “she” would think the show is “stupid”. Behaviors Justin would certainly frown upon and point out on his show as being very bad for the dog. The show is great and very informative. Your justification for your negative comment makes you look really dumb BTW.
Well said Gary!
I HAVE A 120LB. AMERICAN BULLDOG, I’VE JUST MOVED FROM A HOUSE WITH A HUGE YARD TO AN APARTMENT, AT FIRST I WALKED THE DOG THREE TIMES A DAY, NOW HE JUMPS AND PULL ME BACKWARDS .I UNDERSTAND THE DOG NEEDS TRAINING TO GET HIM WALKING AGAIN HE DRAGS ME DOWN AND JUMPS AND BITES ME,I REALLY WANT TO KEEP MY DOG BUT HE;S SO HARD TO CONTROL COULD YOU PLEASE HELP SO I CAN KEEP HIM,PLEASE
I’m surprised they didn’t cancel the promos (commercials), let alone the series. What a stupid premise for a prime time show on CBS! Animal Planet, maybe, but CBS? Seriously?
Justin might know what he is doing with all the dogs, BUT I don’t know what he is doing. He doesn’t really instruct so that the viewer learns something. The behavior corrections that he shows are so few and far between, and I haven’t learned a thing from him. The camera focuses on the humans in the story and very minimal time on the training of the dog. NIn my opinion, this show needs to be more viewer friendly and offer teachable info. for us.
And yes, he talks way too much.
What do you expect? Teaching you is NOT the premise of the show. How would he teach you anyway if you don’t want him to talk. Gsheeeshh.
WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!! ANYONE WHO LOVES DOGS WILL ADORE AND LEARN ALOT ABOUT “MAN’S BEST FRIEND”. PLEASE GIVE THIS SHOW A CHANCE. WE WERE TALKING ABOUT LAST NIGHTS SHOW HERE IN OUR OFFICE THIS MORNING. EVERYONE AGREED THIS SHOW IS A WEDNESDAY NIGHT TREAT!
