Fans of Ugly Betty just got some (possibly) good news. ABC is moving the dramedy to Wednesday nights at 10pm. Unfortunately, that’s spells bad news for fans of cancelled Eastwick.
Eastwick has had a tough time of it and has never quite found a wide audience. The show and its cast — including Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright — have become popular with a devout group of viewers but it’s just not big enough to keep the show on the air.
The show was effectively cancelled last month when ABC opted to not order any additional episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
Eastwick executive producer, Maggie Friedman, said that this would mean that many show storylines would go unresolved. On the positive side though, it seemed like ABC was committed to airing all of the episodes.

Unfortunately, it now appears that ABC has decided to pull the show off the air before the run is completed. Ugly Betty will take over the Eastwick timeslot on January 6th, bumping the last two episodes of the supernatural series from the schedule.
For now, it seems that the network has no plans to air the final installments of Eastwick. If ABC history is any indication, fans may have to wait until the summer months to see them — ala Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. If not, then they’ll be able to find them on DVD, if there is one.

I agree with all of the angry viewers. Eastwick gave us a chance to escape every week to a little magic.It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It has a wonderful cast and great writing. It carries us to a different place where anything is possible. No one needs another situation comedy. We want Eastwick. I hope some other network picks it up. I am stunned to learn this series has been cancelled. I was a fan from the very beginning. A very sophisticated, sensual and entertaining show. What a shame and a very big mistake.
I am so sad, I love Eastwick! It was the only show I looked forward to every week. I just can’t belive it is over, I really hope another network picks it up. 🙁
I’m really disappointed that the show is cancelled. I looked forward to episode 11 and it turned out they aired the 12th and the last one.
I’m starting to hate ABC for cancelled shows – Moonlight, Kyle XY and now this… What’s the point in airing and watching them if they never end properly?

Executives never admit mistakes so they will never change their minds once they give anyone or anything the axe! If we are lucky we can download the remaining 2 episodes if they can be air out of the country where US abc execs don’t have a say. Come on Britian, Canada, Australia we need you.
I love this show. I am angry with the network, I knew I should have stuck with USA, TNT, and FX. Each time a great show comes out it get’s axed, but that’s not the worst no the network leaves you hanging. We can all hope that it’s picked up by USA, TNT, or better yet the WB, they need a show like this.
I completely agree with SLD I should have also stuck eith USA, TNT & WB or CW. Eastwick needs to be given a fair chance the show is very entertaining.
The guy that runs ABC clearly has no idea what he’s doing, as I suspect most people who run networks don’t. I guarantee the guy doesn’t watch television. ABC has done too many stupid things. They have canceled so many good shows–they just don’t believe in their own products. They are all about the bottom line instead of good TV. It’s sad, but it’s the state of Hollywood. Run by suits that don’t care.
I finally find a great show that my husband will watch with me and now you want to take it away from us. at least let us watch the rest of the episodes, you left all of eastwick viewers hanging , wondering what clyde is up to and what the little boy has to do with eastwick… so please ,im begging you leave it on or put it on dvd for us to buy thank you howard and retha
Well that’s it for me, I am done with ABC, they suck.The one good show that was worth watching…
I’m just discusted!!! My husband and I really enjoyed Eastwick together. to think ABC doesn’t have the decency to at least show the last two episodes. We will stick to other networks. I pray another network will pick it up! like Medium:)

Now I’m even more confused the hallmark channel airing eastwick have just said that the reason all episodes have not yet aired due to a production break and it will be back in 2010 I hope this means that they are going to keep it going I love the show
Here in the uk the hallmark channel is airing the complete season of eastwick today they are also advertising it as coming back 12/1/10 could this mean they are actualy thinking of doing a season 2 ? I’m confused. There is nothing on their website about it I have emailed them but had no response. I just hope this show is saved scrap the cop and hospital shows
If ABC would have had “Ghost Whisperer” they would have canceled it too. Eastwick is one of my favorite shows too. Maybe CBS will pick it up. They picked up “Medium” it is on Friday nights after “Ghost Whisperer” would be nice to see that as the line up and “Eastwick” along with them. Lets all say “Eastwick” will be continued.
