There have been many successful projects based on the Land of Oz book series by L. Frank Baum. There’s also been a number of flops. Now, NBC is trying a television series called Emerald City. Will it be another hit or a disappointment? Will the Emerald City TV show be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A fantasy drama, Emerald City is the tale of a young woman named Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona). She finds her true strength and identity as she battles to bring a divided world together. An all-powerful ruler called the Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio) governs over one kingdom. He has outlawed magic and faces a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force — as well as the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches. The rest of the cast includes Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Mido Hamada, Gerran Howell, Jordan Loughran, and Joely Richardson.

I’m neither for nor against a renewal. It had some entertaining moments while others left a lot to be desired. If it does get renewed, then I will tune in and most likely will heavily judge it based on S2’s ep’s 1-3 before I can really say I’m going to stay until the finale. Either way, I think the writers have given this old tale a new twist and that’s not easy to do with a classic like the wizard of Oz
PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THIS SHOW I JUST WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE AND CANNOT BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT IS. All my shows are leaving, my #1 show ever Vampire Diaries just ended and I will never forget it, and Reign is ending on it’s 4th season. I need another show and this one blew my brains. I love it and have seen the first episode and I just know I’m going to go crazy if it gets cancelled like so many amazing other shows.
