You certainly couldn’t call Enlightened a ratings success but season one did get some positive attention from critics and at the Golden Globes. Will that attention be enough for HBO to renew the series for season three or will they cancel it instead?
Enlightened airs on Sunday nights and there are just eight episodes this time (vs 10 in season one). The show stars Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, Luke Wilson, Sarah Burns, and Timm Sharp.
Below are the most recent ratings for the second season of Enlightened on HBO. The TV show’s ratings are the best way to tell if a series will be cancelled or renewed for another season.
These figures will be updated as the weeks progress so be sure to bookmark and return to this page:

I’m 74 years old an I love this show. Excellent casting. Sorry there were only 8 episodes.
Refreshing show, not a junk sit com…
Good luck for a season 3
Renew!
Love this show!
This show hits home on so many levels! I absolutely love it and will be devastated if it isn’t renewed. There’s so much crap on TV these days except for HBO and PBS which are havens for people who prefer to think and feel rather than zombie out in front of the TV.
Love this show!!!!!!
Love this show and will be disappointed if it does not come back after a build like that.
I only discovered it this season; went back and watched the 1st OnDemand. I feel cheated!
Really hope HBO will keep this show for a third season. The characters are complex and the writing is very thoughtful. This show is the type that builds an audience slowly. Just as you should have kept “Bored to Death” another brilliant show that was cancelled too soon!
Perfect blend of sadness, hope, naïveté and utter wisdom. No one examines the psyche more truthfully but at the same time with such kindness. Each character has a story worth telling. Please bring it back – I became a fan well into season two, watched them all and am begging for more. Mike White is a true writing talent and Laura Dern IS Amy Jellicoe.
LOVE this show…so much MORE socially relevant than GIRLS…what a POS…AMY Jellicoe is the voice of a generation or at least I hope so..but if the ratings are anything, we see that most people find Lena DunHAM’s character more compelling…what does this say about us as a country? I despair.
This show is the best show I have ever seen on hbo please please please hbo renew for a third season…Laura fern is quite frankly the best actress out there right now I’m obsessed
This show is really one of the best HBO has produced so far. Maybe the story arc is unfolding too slowly for the average viewer, but imao this is what makes this series so special. Seldom have I seen put more attention to detail into character development. Episode 3 (“Higher Power”), which was evolving around Levi, was one of my favorites. Couldn’t get any better than this one. Let’s pray that HBO will renew for a third season.
Think this show is excellent and very emotionally compelling. Damn shame that people aren’t tuning in yet the show’s concept is a difficult sell to the casual viewer
This is the best show on tv. Ratings are up this season compared to last season, so hopefully HBO renews it. It deserves a chance to find an audience.
@Joseph. I wholeheartedly agree. This show is a jewel unlike any other. I think it just needs more time to catch on.
Love this show. How is it that the whole world isn’t watching? Best thing on tv right now.
