The mysteries will continue on season two of Extant. CBS has renewed the Halle Berry TV show for another season. It’s believed there will be another 13 episodes and they will air next summer.
On Extant, astronaut Molly Woods (Berry) returns to Earth after a year-long solo mission in outer space. Her reunion with her family is thrown into turmoil when it’s learned that she’s pregnant. Others in the cast include Goran Visnjic, Pierce Gagnon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Camryn Manheim, Grace Gummer, and Michael O’Neill.
Though the show’s ratings were underwhelming — especially considering Berry is a feature film star — it’s believed that Extant is being produced under a similar model as Under the Dome. Episodes of that show are profitable before they even air, thanks to deals with Amazon and overseas distributors. CBS execs also supposedly like the prestige of having a TV show with Berry as the lead.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear that Extant has been renewed for a second season? Or, do you think it should have been cancelled instead? How long should this series run?
It’s like any good show that has a Real plot, actors speaking in English, and excellent cast! But if Nielsen says that it’s a flop, then let’s cancel it! These moronic TV execs, need to realize that Nielsen ratings are a big, big, sham!
I like Season Two of Extant, it is so much better this time around. I can’t wait to watch it every week.
