Animal Planet has announced they’ve renewed their documentary series Finding Bigfoot for a third season. That’s a little strange since many sources believe that the show is currently airing its fourth season. Apparently, Animal Planet has their own way of breaking up their episodes.
Here are the details:
THE SEARCH FOR BIGFOOT CONTINUES…
ANIMAL PLANET’S HIT SERIES “FINDING BIGFOOT” RENEWED FOR THIRD SEASON
— Season Two Premieres Delivered 1.2 Million P2+ Viewers —
(New York, New York) – After setting foot in 33 states and five countries, the FINDING BIGFOOT team is still feverishly on the hunt for the elusive Sasquatch. As the evidence continues to mount, investigators Cliff Barackman, James “Bobo” Fay, Ranae Holland and Matt Moneymaker are closer than ever to uncover the truth behind the hairy beast. And with FINDING BIGFOOT hunting down 1.2 M P2+ viewers this season and ranking among Animal Planet’s top three performing series of all time among P25-54 (653K), this hunt isn’t ending any time soon! Today, Animal Planet announces the third-season renewal of the hit series, rolling out with 12 brand new episodes later this fall.
FINDING BIGFOOT continues to find new believers with 41% more W25-54 watching than season one. And in 1Q13, FINDING BIGFOOT helped Animal Planet rank among the top 10 ad-supported cable nets in the 10 PM timeslot based on M25-54 delivery (excluding movies and sports).
FINDING BIGFOOT investigates compelling evidence that may prove the existence of this elusive creature, with a team uses unconventional methodologies and new technologies to lure the creature from behind the shadows to get physical video and/or audio evidence to prove that there is a community of these sasquatches among us! The intrepid cast of investigators – Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) president Matt Moneymaker, researchers James “Bobo” Fay and Cliff Barackman, and skeptical scientist Ranae Holland – has traveled across the U.S. and followed up on evidence and first-hand eyewitness accounts. Now, the cast continues its international searches and re-visits some of the “squatchier” locations to uncover startling evidence of the mysterious and highly intelligent enigma that has eluded capture for centuries and fascinated man for just as long.
FINDING BIGFOOT is produced for Animal Planet by Ping Pong Productions. Keith Hoffman is the executive producer and Hillary Tholen is associate producer for Animal Planet. Brad Kuhlman and Casey Brumels are executive producers and Chad Hammel is the co-executive producer for Ping Pong Productions.

What do you think? Do you like the series? Will you be watching the new season?
I really love this show finding bigfoot.. This is intresting even if they don’t find a bigfoot but still it has a thrill.. And i like the team members of the finding bigfoot team .. I hope this show will continoue for decades love it
I love “Finding Bigfoot”. Even if they don’t find anythnig, I find the enthusiasm of the group is contagous. As much as I would like them to find a real specimen, I want to see one myself. Looking in various states gives me the hope that one day I might. I would prefer that they stay in the US. Foreign searches don’t interest me beyond seeing the different culture.
I love the show and miss it when it is off the air. I think they should hunker down in one area or areas that other enthusist are having luck with. I believe it doesn’t help to be running around with tons of camera since they are reported to avoid them. They might want to check out Robert Dodson’s sightings he is open to visitors and could use some high tech equipment since he is one his own. I watch a lot of you tube and wow, there are people out there with multiple Bigfoot and harassment sightings. Try to… Read more »
I really like the show (Finding Bigfoot) and hope there are ZERO plans to cancel it! I have a VERY recent sighting. March 22, 2016. It was in the Green Ridge State Forest. I am positive it was NOT a bear, deer, cow, pig, human, or canine. Was it a Squatch… I don’t know. What I do know is that it was big, VERY BIG! It walked on TWO (2) legs, was covered with hair, it looked right at me and after my fear decreased I well… I felt that whatever it is has a fairly high degree of intelligence.… Read more »
It’s really time to either add someone new to the cast or eliminate a few to r wet place. Getting really old now. They are not finding anyrhing. Change the title to “Looking for Bigfoot”

Hi VJC, Have been watching Finding Bigfoot for 3 Hrs. now on Animal Planet.
Yes ! I would like that as well, we know they exist but she would be in shock, can imagine her with her mouth open——
I would like to see it continue until ranae finally sees one
I find it odd that Finding Bigfoot is not on the cancelled show listings. Loved this show but always thought it should be titled “IN SEARCH OF BIGFOOT”
we love the show, hope it continues
I agree with you, we truly miss this show. Can not imagine why such an entertaining series would be taken off the air, the foursome were each very different people and well suited to their hobby, we miss them as well as the loss of the show. Can not imagine why the “New Series” would start yet within 2-3 episodes be cancelled. Both disappointed as well as a tad pissed off.
