When Gotham debuted, it looked like a solid ratings hit for FOX. Unfortunately, the ratings declined and dropped about 50% by the end of the season. Will they continue to fall in season two? Will the series be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.

A dark crime drama, Gotham tells the early stories of police detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and iconic Gotham City characters — before they became legendary crimefighters, villains. and vigilantes. The rest of the cast includes Donal Logue, Morena Baccarin, Michael Chiklis, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, Zabryna Guevara, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, Andrew Stewart Jones, and John Doman.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
