Airing on Friday nights, Grimm has never done very well in the ratings. However, it has managed to escape being cancelled each year. At the end of season five, the series will have more than enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package. Will this be the year that it’s cancelled or will Grimm be renewed for a sixth season? Stay tuned.
On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. The rest of the cast includes Russell Hornsby, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/5 update: NBC has renewed Grimm for a sixth season. Details here.
5/21 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The fourth season of Grimm averaged a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.81 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like Grimm TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for sixth season?
I love, love, love Grimm! I watch every week or DVR if I’m unavailable! Keep it on the air, PLEASE!!!
I love this show! It is different and I can not wait to see what comes next. I tape it so I do not miss a second of it. Please keep it coming. I am very unhappy with some of the other shows that keep repeating the same thing.
Love me some Grimm!!!
This show is fantastic! It’s my Friday night, pop popcorn, turn off all the lights, and crank up the sound system SHOW! I love it now that there are tons of characters with lots of subplots going on. The actors playing the Freaks of the Week are almost always very strong. The Wesen transformations have gone from kind of comical and campy to horrific in both looks and proclivities! The only items on my wish list now are give Hank a life of some kind. He’s strong, but he excels most at HIGH drama (like the crowd scene when the… Read more »
Grimm is something different brought to television .it had some great seasons,But base on the up coming episodes its seems like a cancellation,, especially where Nick will have to face the Captain , its seems to me the end has come .. plus Friday nights everyone is out partying , they don’t have time to watch . I Honestly don’t i catch up by DVR .. BUT if it continues , i would hope the Grimm have a Bad Ass Sister ..i mean his mother character was so mysterious it should easy to write in … And a major failure… Read more »
EVERYONE is NOT out partying on Friday nights!!
FIRST: I love, love this show! But, it feels like the writers are holding back. I think Sean Hayes needs to add some more producers AND more writers. Toughen up the characters: get with Kripke from Supernatural and bring him on board…..or at least enlist some former writers from that show. And on before dateline???NO WAY is that helping. People won’t to see a little more action and a lot less conversation. SECOND: If NBC doesn’t like that or will not allow it, start a campaign to find someone who will take the show and give more latitude! Seriously, I… Read more »
thats what im talking about, SWIZZLE, good post.!!
Thank you Omar. After reading your posts, after writing mine, I thought you might rip me a new eye socket.. I am proud you agree!
Please renew Grom! It’s the best show on t.v.
Grimm, Best show on Television. Acting, story, excitement, great humor!!!
Continue, season 6.
one thing i forgot to say is , this show had it’s viewing times and channels mucked around, when it first aired, which is not good for those who want a stable watching time. i am buying all the d,v,d’s when they hit the shelves, so i can continue to watch after the show is no more.
i do hope Grimm continues on for many more series.
i read all the Grimm brothers books as a child.
i just love grimm, and would be very disappointed if this great show was cancelled. they are really hitting their stride now, so please keep going.
what ever stride its on, this writers will let the fans down., most fan have been waiting since the end of season 3 for any kind of stride, GRIMM, lost over 1.000.000 fans in just one season, waiting for that stride, you can see the ratings your self.!! their wesen of the week came back to bite them in the ASS. all we can hope for is the last 13 episodes honor what was a good show.!?
There will be 13 episodes next season. Let’s hope NBC sends it off in style. Wouldn’t it be something if this show could start doing 1.4’s every week and NBC would have to give it another 13 episodes. People need to watch it for that to happen.
Grimm is the best show of the week. Its handling of good versus evil is complex and sometimes wholesomely humorous.
And sometimes unwholesomely humorous!
What will we watch on Friday nights of the cancel Grimm? My daughter and I love this show. We record it and watch it faithfully. I hope it has a lot more seasons to come. Never a dull moment on Grimm! #teamjuliette
It is good that Grimm has been renewed for a sixth season, although the shortened order of 13 episodes should be taken as an omen that the show is about to end. I think the reason for the show’s decline in ratings is that there are just too many sub-plots going on. Also, it seems they really cannot kill off a character (Juliette/Eve’s return) so that makes the show all the less credible. While I would love to see Grimm continue up to a season 10, I think they should end it all in season 6. I foresee an ending… Read more »
Great serial! I like the story and all episodes. We’ve started to watch it on our local TV with all my family and children, we’ve advised serial to all our friends. But last two seasons (4 and 5) every Saturday watch by internet, because have no other opportunity to watch it. It’ll be great if season 6 will be able to watch by internet too. Untypical, peculiar, modern and interesting story. Main heroes we like you all!!!
