If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

I don’t think that the network gave the show enough time. I was engrossed in the show and was anxiously awaiting the return. It was nice to have an entertaining show that made you use your brain to try to figure the mysteries out, instead of watching another boring reality show, don’t we have enough of those??? Also, why not go ahead and show the remaining episodes that they already spent the money to make, instead of showing reruns of other shows….doesn’t make much sense to me….reruns and reality shows….you lose an audience member here….bring back Happy Town and you… Read more »
Bring it back! Thanks:)
Our 3 big networks have had their day in the sun. It’s time to step aside foe the cable channels who now have about 90% of the viewing audience simply because there is a fantastic variety of shows to watch and they don’t cancel them in the blink of an eye. I’m afraid to begin watching the Super Bowl this year….it might not come back after halftime! ABC finally hit on something with Happy Town and stupidly threw it away! Maybe the ABC executives should do a little research before they make another wrong move: To determine what makes a… Read more »
I totally agree with Rosie D. ABC seems to go with the cheap thrill reality shows. They never give other shows a chance. I was disappointed when they shelved Forgotten (good plots) and now Happy town. The only show I still watch on ABC is DWTS and after the last show I have my doubts if I’ll watch that again, the voting seemed to be rigged. They ought to fire whoever makes ABC’s decisions! No wonder they’re last in the ratings
I really liked it! I like mystery. I don’t watch any reality tv I think they are stupid but some dumb people I know watch it. I have swithched to “haven”. I have happy town programed so if it does come on I’ll record it. I like the actors and the places where both shows are being filmed.Where are they getting there ratings from oh right college students. yes they are dumb I’ve had sereral living here thank god they gone and my liqour will still be there when I want to offer someone a drink.
i am very dissapointed happy town is no longer showing. i used 2 watch harpers island nd was very disappointed wen it ended until i saw a commercial 4 happy town. my friends nd i were hooked. altho i went 2 watch it the 30th nd it was not on wen it said it would b nor the 7th. happy town is an entertaining show nd should b put back on the air.
I thought the show was very interesting. ABC has nothing now that Lost is gone. What do they expect when they start a show in the summer? They should give it a chance in the fall and see how it does. And I want to know where do they get their ratings, they apparently aren’t asking me and people I know who were watching the show. ABC needs to pick up the pace, Fox and CBS are kicking butt they have all the #1 shows on TV. Maybe CBS will pick it up. That will get them! ABC seems to… Read more »
I won`t bother getting into a new program on ABC if it is going to be pulled just as I get interested in it. What`s the point of leaving people hanging . I don`t want or read half a book or plant half a flower or drive half a car. Get it!
My Goodness will you ever get it right? This show is a keeper, I’m sure fast return is what the networks look for, but how about longevity and viewer enjoyment? Give it a chance and recognize fast is not always the best way to go! KEEP THE SHOW!!!
no they rather show trash like that bachelor or bachelorette show who cares ? who gives a rats heini about who the hell they pick its all so fake anyway.
its not entertainment it is trash . cant believe people are that desperate to have themselfs exploited on national tv where the whole world can watch them getting fools made of
bring it back
please
i wish you guys would make up your mind, i liked the show , but i have always liked sam neill. we never even got the chance to know anything about the characters. and now because you guys wouldnt give it a chance, its done. im not happy:(.
Why do they not give a show a chance? This is a very GOOD MYSTERY series! People are busy in the summer. Word will get around – I have told friends and they started watching it. Who says the ratings were low?!
Was a intriguing show that kept you involved. Wonderful cast also.
Happy Town is too intelligent for most of today’s viewers and their “reality idiots” based shows.
Would be a nice addition to the SYFY network if they could pick it up.
Now that Lost is gone, there is nothing left on ABC.
this was one of the better shows on TV who ever does the ratings is off this time a lot of people i know watch this how bring it back damit
