Tonight, CBS wraps up the first season of their new Hunted TV show. Viewers seem to have some very strong opinions about this series. Some would like to see it cancelled while others are ready for a second season.
The Hunted TV show on CBS follows nine teams of two in a real-life manhunt as they attempt to evade capture in today’s digital world. Highly skilled investigators in the field and in a Command Center combine state-of-the-art tracking methods with traditional tactics to pursue and catch them. A grand prize of $250,000 is awarded to each team of two that successfully evades being caught for up to 28 days.
The series debuted on a Sunday evening in January, following a highly-rated NFL game. To no surprise, the first episode of Hunted scored big ratings, averaging a 4.06 in the 18-49 demographic with 11.85 million.
A few days later, in its usual Wednesday night timeslot, the ratings were not nearly as good. Episode two averaged a 1.33 in the demo with 5.48 million viewers. The numbers have dropped lower and lower as the weeks have progressed.
Though this series certainly isn’t a hit, the ratings could be worse. I suspect Hunted doesn’t cost much to produce so I’m inclined to think that CBS will renew it for a second season. However, I certainly wouldn’t be shocked if the network cancelled it instead.
But, what do you think? Would you watch a second season of the Hunted TV show or, is one season enough?
Yes, bring it back for season 2 !! Love this show, my wife and I and many of our friends are addicted, so fascinating, please bring it back !
I love the show. I can not wait for season two to come out.
I loved that show!! I hope does come back for another season!! Kept my interest!!!
Yes I loved it! How do I sign up to be on it?
I would absolutely love for Hunted to come back for Season 2!!!! Loved it!!!!
yes. i would love to see a second season of hunted. make it come back
The Rules were too restrictive for the fugitives and why go the whole show with the fugitives in hiding only to let the cat out of the bag in the last show and give the hunters the exact location of the bank withdraw and mode of escape? That seems pointless. You might as well just have a series of one episode shows where you put people in a bank and then make them run to a getaway vehicle on foot and see if the SUV’s can catch up to them before they get too tired to run. It was a… Read more »
my family loved it!
Nope. It was a really dumb concept of a show. If you really want to make it challenging and not just given over to the seekers, then there shouldn’t be a perimeter. I’m my opinion, that’s unfair “reality”. If they expect ppl to outrun the investigators, etc. Then I say wide open spaces. Glorified game of tag you’re it game. Bored us all the way to the end.
Not as good as The Amazing Race, but I enjoyed it. Keep it going.
Show definitely has an unique concept. It needs to be expanded on. I love the chase and capture part and the fugitives collapsed look on their faces. I agree with M Grant…let viewers know rules while attempting to capture, less confusion then. I know this is a Reality Show, I still want to see some drama, some friction between team in Command Center and between Hunters. Don’t tell me that they ALL get along and agree and everything’s all hunkey-dorrey. It’s too robotic. I want to see friction, exchange of heated words, subordination issues, possibly some aggression. Don’t edit their… Read more »
I liked the show, but it was set up with the parameters too confining. It definitrly benefitted the law enforcement officials. As one person commented law enforcement would make an assumption and then that’s exazctly where the fugitives were. That was a little hokey. It would be fun if the time frame was maybe expanded and the the area the fugitives can cover was greatly enhanced. If the fugitives were caught it would make law enforcement look even better. It would add more lasting suspense. Just a thought.
Yes without a doubt!!! Family came into the show half way. But are on pins and needles
Would definitely watch Season Two of Hunted!! Suggestions: 1. Let viewer know how many days are remaining 2. Let viewer know more about where all teams are on each episode & how many days they have left to win the prize; even if they are not pinging the cameras, etc. 3. Let viewer know why contestants are forced to take small amounts of money out of Ready Teller & why they couldn’t just be hunted without having to frequently go to the bank. 4. Because of the apparent show rules, the teams are made to look stupid when in reality,… Read more »
