USA Network’s In Plain Sight TV show recently had its episode order cut from 16 to 13 installments. Is this a sign that the series is headed for the TV graveyard after three seasons?
Not necessarily. It turns out that In Plain Sight will wrap season three early for another reason. The Futon Critic was told by Universal Cable Productions, “John McNamara, executive producer and showrunner of USA Network’s In Plain Sight, took a leave of absence for medical reasons… John Romano assumed executive producer responsibilities for the remaining episodes. Given the unexpected change, we decided to end the season at a natural spot — with the surprising cliffhanger of episode 13.”
Season three will finish airing on Wednesday, June 30th. In Plain Sight hasn’t been renewed for a fourth season yet and isn’t necessarily looking like a lock either.
Last season reportedly averaged 4.08 million viewers but recent episodes have been attracting less than three million viewers. That’s certainly not a good indicator for renewal.
What do you think? Should In Plain Sight be renewed for season four or cancelled?

This is one of the best shows on television. It is thoughtful and well written, with characters the viewer can care about. It is as far as one can get from the “reality” shows which are anything but and still fill viewing time. It would be a travesty to cancel this great show.
Love the show, love the characters. Really hope it is not cancelled.
I love the show. Don’t cancel In Plain Sight. I’m looking forward to the baby coming and where she will really go with that. Love Oscar too!
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL!!!!!!! I love this show there are not many REAL tv shows left everything is either reality TV or made for teenagers( Secret Life , Make or break it), etc . This is a REALLY good show for adults . Love Mary she is to funny everyone else is also good .
Great show, even my teenage daughter watches it with me. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL!
Please do not cancel In Plain Sight. It is a GREAT show!
Keep it! – I think it is an awesome show! Great cast, wouldn’t miss it!
This is a great show and the demographic has to be appealing to advertisers. Keep it. I have enjoyed the character development. Seeing Brandi grow, her fiance be a stand-up guy and a total transformation of mom is offering hope to families with dysfunction.
I hope they keep them on a “growing path” even though it might seem that failure is more dramatic or realistic. Let the show continue to grow. It’s hard to understand why it is not even more popular than it is.
This show must return. With all of the reality shows that are taking place of real art, and acting, this show Must Return.
I love this show; I also love GLADES. So I watch them both ON DEMAND.
Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.
L.O.V.E! This show!!!! I hope it goes on for at least a few more seasons! I love the chemisty between the characters and the stories are great!
I like the show and the characters, I hope they don’t cancel it!
In plain sight should be renewed without question.
One of the best shows on TV. Do not cancel.
abslutely SHOULDN’T BE CANCELLED. Such bs.
In Plain Site is a good program.
I would hate to see it end.
I would look forward to the “Mary” have her baby, and of course the interaction that would follow.
I think the sho is hurt by when it is aired and suddenly ther is competition from other networks in its terrible time slot. If it was aired even on mondays the competition would not be as stiff. and more new viewers would find it. Personally I like 3 shows inthe same slot (Leverage ,In Plain Sight and the Glades ) I watch one and dvr the other two and watch them on Mondays.
