What’s This TV Show About?
An AMC martial arts drama, Into the Badlands stars Daniel Wu, Eleanor Matsuura, Stephen Lang, Sherman Augustus, Babu Ceesay, Orla Brady, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Ally Ioannides, Lorraine Toussaint, Ella-Rae Smith, Lewis Tan, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Nick Frost. The post-apocalyptic series unfolds centuries into the future, in a feudal society called the Badlands.
Season three kicks off after Veil’s death. Sunny (Wu) and his son, Henry, are living off the grid, when the baby takes ill. Sunny teams up with Bajie (Frost) to journey back into the Badlands, where The Widow (Beecham) and Baron Chau (Matsuura) are engaged in a protracted war. Meanwhile, an enigmatic nomad named Pilgrim (Ceesay) arrives with claims of ushering in a new era of “peace.” Soon, enemies will ally themselves to defend the Badlands.
Season Three Ratings

Will AMC cancel or renew Into the Badlands for season four? The ratings are way down but the show is still a middle of the road performer for AMC. Why is it all the great tv shows that come out always get canned…. so many good shows and then nothing to finish them off, it’s not fair to those who love those type of shows.
Wish Australian Netflix would get more tv shows before the can them all off…
I really hope Netflix picks up this show and saves it from the dustbin. It is one of the best western adaptations of the Journey to the West ever. Maybe actually promoting it and putting it in a good timeslot and it will do well. It is sort of how like the networks killed off Firefly and other really creative shows. But at least they have time to tie up loose ends in the second half of season 3.

Can’t say I’m surprised this show got the ax. Something was up on how long it was taking for the 2nd half of this season. I tried to get into this series and did somewhat the 1st season, probably because it was only 6 episodes. After that though, it just got too ludicrous. I got really tired of seeing all these wimp chicks beat up on all the narly dudes all the time. Like oh yeah that’s really going to happen. SORELY disappointed. I guarantee ratings are hardly the true representation of interest level. This series is so action packed and eyes glued to the tv, its like a new movie every week. BAM.
Very poor marketing, and a ?when is it? time slot. Severely disappointed.
Please release season 4. Here in Kenya (+254) we are eagerly waiting for it. Best show
I love this show. Hopefully it renews for season 4. Wish it wouldn’t take so long for another season to start. Maybe that’s why viewing is down. People forget about because it takes so long to come back on and we don’t know when it comes back on.
They better bring this show back it’s the best show on TV and not surprised the ratingd have fallen. AMC barely promotes the show!!! There are so many things that set the show apart, from the world building, to the unique characters and the drama of the story. Not to mention the amazing martial arts and the mysterious element of the dark gift! In to the Badlands can’t be shot down now. Good storyteller always tell the story to the end and will not disappoint loyal followers of the story. I really hope that AMC is better storyteller than many other companies that have betrayed their most loyal viewers.
