How well does Kevin Finn power up his soul in the first season of the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World season one episodes here.
An ABC comedy drama, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World stars Jason Ritter, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Chloe East, J. August Richards, Dustin Ybarra, and India de Beaufort. The fantasy TV series centers on Kevin Finn. While he is not the world’s worst person, Kevin is self-involved and materialistic. While wallowing in his own misery, Kevin experiences a sequence of unbelievable events, then meets Yvette (Gregory), his heavenly guide. She informs him that he is he last of the 36 righteous born into his generation. Without the 36, everyone on Earth will begin to lose the only thing keeping them going — hope. Now, it is up to Kevin to “power up” his soul by committing selfless acts of kindness, so he can locate and anoint the next 36 and (probably) save the world.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of the Kevin (Probably) Saves the World TV series do you rate as heavenly, hellish, or stuck in television limbo? Should ABC cancel or renew Kevin (Probably) Saves the World for a second season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
5/11/18 update: ABC has cancelled Kevin (Probably) Saves the World so there won’t be a second season. Details here.
I personally love this show. It’s about doing good and family and we don’t have enough of that. I think Jason Ritter is very talented in both drama and comedy.
Kevin probably saves the world is a fantastic and fun program. Of course we’re talking the same network that cancelled;’ Last Man Standing.’
The same brain trust cancelled Downward Dog. Truly funny, such a wonderful never- done- before idea. If they’d give entertaining shows like Dog a full season, maybe we wouldn’t be running re-treads like Murphy Brown, Roseanne, Will and Grace, and several others because there apparently are No More Ideas. (fwiw, i loved all those shows the first time around, and will probably tune in for the rehash, but really, ABC, What were you THINKING!!!??? Downward Dog is a GEM!)
No thanks
Go find some gory murder then. Or just watch Trump
EXACTLY why I love Kevin! No guns, drugs, explosions, and a conspicuous absence of a certain DC Pumpkin! We need nonsense like Kevin simply to escape the “real” world (which i keep waiting to wake up from!)
Please keep Kevin Probably Saves the World. I enjoy it. It is lighthearted, and I like the cast, except for that woman who came to tell Yvette that she has failed in her job. I hope that character gets scrapped.
Can it- since they added Leah Remini we have stopped watching- nothing more than regurgitated King of Queens. Too bad- it was enjoyable last year.
Just wondering: Are you talking about Kevin Probably Saves the World here, or some other TV show?
It’s suppose to be KPSTW, ^ got mixed up
Yeah, we don’t watch anymore either. Don’t like what they did to other character.
You are thinking of Kevin Can Wait. This is about Kevin (probably) saves the world 😀
You’re talking about Kevin can wait …… this is Kevin probably saves the world .
Wrong show Lin Blas. You are thinking Kevin Can Wait, which I agree is terrible.
Wrong show
Wrong Show
Wrong show, Lin.
commenting on wrong show…
Wrong show.
Lin, I think you have the wrong show in mind.
You are thinking of Kevin Can Wait, this is Kevin Probably Saves The Universe, hope you watch the season finale Tues @10pm take care!
Uhmm… Leah Remini isnt on “Kevin (Probably) Saves The World”. That’s a different Kevin (and what little i watched of your Kevin, I have to agree with your assessment. They should just do a rehash on Queens, like they are doing with Roseanne,
Will n Grace, etc. )
Wrong show
Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet – but… wrong show 🙂
This show needs to be watched … and kept going by ABC!
Me and my husband thoroughly enjoy watching this show. Please keep it going!! The cast is great and the storyline is awesome. There is just so much garbage on TV nowadays that will not go away, its nice to have a good show to watch.
Please renew this show
One of the best
I also watch it because of Jason Ritter, who is underrated as an actor, However, I also love the sister, and the others. they make it work!
I love this show, I am hoping it makes it!! Finally a show about kindness, enlightenment, growing as a person. I wish they didn’t put it in the worst time slot. I hope it gets renewed!!
Exactly! Why 10pm on Tuesday – do they want it to fail?
Excellent question!
I’ve always been curious about the time slot, as well. What’s there to shield the children from??
By the time I even realized this show was out there, there were only two episodes left. Luckily I could catch up online – and I’m glad I did!
This would be a great show for right after Ameticas Funniest Videos, when families are watching. (Sorry, American Idol; maybe switch it over whe Idol season’s done?) You’re right about the good characteristics you describe. Wouldn’t it be nice to have school kids watch it and do reports about it for English class, or Sociology/Social Studies. For that matter, maybe the Trumpkin could be tied down and forced to watch it, show him what true Kindness looks like.
I agree! It already has had such an impact on children. 🙂 I’ve seeen various videos of them wanting to do things to help others, do things to make others happy and they love doing these things! Kevin leaves such a wonderful impression on all ages indeed! With so much junk on tv, Kevin Probably Saves The World is such a much needed and wanted show!
Maybe you should watch the show again, then re-read your post. Seems like you don’t understand the show or know what true kindness is either.
We really liked this show. Funny, thoughtful, and sweet. Good for the whole family.
So funny & real.
It had a chance to fill a niche, but it’s not going to do it based on the first three episodes. They play up the buffoon nature of Kevin far too much and it’s becoming stupid rather than funny. Plus his angelic guide is fairly ridiculous in that she guesses all the time and get’s things wrong and encourages lying??? The concept is ridiculous as well….36 righteous people in every generation….and he’s supposed to bring balance to the UNIVERSE…YEAH RIGHT! It’s had consistently falling ratings and if it continues for two more episodes, it most likely won’t finish being broadcast… Read more »
Are you watching the show for theological and doctrinal accuracy or do you watch the show for enjoyment? The show is to be enjoyed and when one can relax it’s very enjoyable!!
Although I love the show I also agree that Kevin often is portrayed as buffoonish which does take away from the quality of the show. I love the more serious yet simple humorous moments when he is helping people though
It is getting better each week. Love Jason Ritter.
No imagination in your house..no offence but its a fantasy, not reality TV.
Well, Merv, IT’S TOTAL AND COMPLETE FANTASY, FUN, ESCAPISM!!! But there’s a lesson in every episode, for the very real people watching the stories unfold each week.
I will say the Network really should promote this show (and others) more that they did. I dont think i saw Ritter on the View, or Kelly-Ryan, or Kimmel. They should be promoting it heavily. It is very very good
Cute show but I only watch because of Jason Ritter, he makes the show palatable.
I really enjoy Kevin Saves the World. It is genuinely a heartfelt show…. decent, no smut, just a down-to-earth good show. Please don’t get rid of it!
