As reported earlier, ABC has decided to cancel the TV series Last Man Standing after six seasons. Now, star Tim Allen has reacted to the surprising news.
The comedy centers on Mike Baxter (Tim Allen), a marketing director for the Outdoor Man sporting goods stores who lives with his wife and three daughters. The cast also includes Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Christoph Sanders, Hector Elizondo, Flynn Morrison, Jordan Masterson, and Jonathan Adams.
On Twitter, Allen said he was “stunned” that ABC decided to cancel Last Man Standing, which has been a solid ratings performer for the network:
Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years. #lastmanstanding

Earlier, ABC chief Channing Dungey explained the decision, saying it was “challenging”:
“Last Man Standing was a challenging one for me, because it was a steady performer in the ratings, but once we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Friday, that was where we landed.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Last Man Standing? Would you watch the show on another network or streaming platform?
I would definitely watch it on another network. I liked the show very funny and current
Yes I would watch it on another network. I think it was a great show.
Very disappointed in ABC’s cancellation of Last Man Standing, there are very few comedies of this high level of cast and writers anymore . I hope this show will be picked up by another network, if they do, I will be watching , count on it.
POOR DECISION BY ABC. NO WONDER VIEWING IS DOWN ON ABC.
I just learned of the cancellation of LMS, very disappointed in ABC. We watch ABC most of the time but now it is less thanks to their stupid ideas what we want to watch. type here to add a comment. (Note: spam, name-calling, and personal attack comments will be deleted.)
