Is there still a future for Legion? Marvel chief Jeph Loeb recently discussed the future of the Marvel TV show, Deadline reports.
As reported earlier, the sci-fi drama will be ending after its upcoming third season. The show centers on X-Men character David Haller (Dan Stevens), the mutant son of Professor Charles Xavier who possesses incredible supernatural powers. The cast also includes Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, David Negahban, Jemaine Clement, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Hamish Linklater, and Jean Smart.
During this year’s winter TCA press conference, Loeb said Legion may be ending but the characters could return for another Marvel series:
From Marvel’s point of view, Noah told us the end of the story when he told us the beginning of the story. These characters, some of which are part of the Marvel library, will live on. I think of it as if this is the end of this graphic novel. If Noah came back to us in a day or a year, we hope that FX would want to tell the next story.”
Additionally, TVLine reports Harry Lloyd will be playing Professor X in the FX series’ upcoming third season and Stephanie Corneliussen has been cast as David’s mother Gabrielle.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Legion? Are you excited for the third and final season?
Harry Lloyd was my first hate crush on Game of Thrones. The fact that Henry could elicit in me such a strong feeling of hatred I never felt before towards a fictional character, I consider this evidence that he is an incredible actor.
Thank goodness it is over! I made it through the first season, and only half through the second. The show was just too weird, and not in an entertaining way.
Also main lead has a horribly flat American accent, sounds like he has a stopped up nose.
