What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Lethal Weapon stars Damon Wayans, Clayne Crawford, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney, and Michelle Mitchenor. The comedic buddy cop action drama centers on two very different cops working together on the streets of Los Angeles. While family man Roger Murtaugh (Wayans) has everything to live for, is there nothing Martin Riggs (Crawford) won’t sacrifice to avenge the loss of his own family? In season two, Murtaugh tries to support Riggs, while still keeping his own family in mind and trying to avoid the chaos his partner seems to seek.
Season One Ratings
The second season of Lethal Weapon averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 viewer demographic and 4.11 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 37% in the demo and down by 37% in viewers. Learn how Lethal Weapon stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FOX cancel or renew Lethal Weapon for season three? The ratings are way down when compared to the first season’s numbers, likely because the series was moved to a new night and away from the network’s top-rated Empire series. For now, I think it will land a renewal, mostly because FOX has lots of other lower-rated shows. However, there have reportedly been some issues with Crawford so that could scuttle the renewal. Huge Lethal Weapon Movie fan! When I saw Clayne Crawford, I figured he could never pull off Riggs like Mel Gibson! I was wrong – Clayne Crawford nailed it! I love the show and the finale made me think it was already decided to cancel – huge disappointment. Hoping for season 3 , but won’t be watching if there’s no Clayne Crawford. They lucked out in finding him – won’t be the same without him!

My husband and I are super fans of this show. All the actors are fantastic and wouldn’t change a thing. Please settle the problems and bring back season three. Every time Fox gets a good series going it gets canceled. If this one cancels we will watch other channels and stay away from Fox television. Thanks. KEEP OUR LETHAL WEAPON GOING.

Yeah I’m done with the show if Claynes character Martin Riggs dies. (Ending scene is him gasping for breath with a bullet in his chest-still alive). Clayne is what makes the show. Martin Riggs is the main character for a reason. So if Martin dies…let the show die.
We LOVE Leathal Weapon, please bring it back!!!!! We have watched every episode and want to see more. It can’t end with Riggs dying!!!!!!!

I can’t believe how the good tv shows get ruined by trying to replace the main characters. It was a great show with Riggs and Murdoch and it won’t be the same if they replace Riggs. I would have loved for the show to be renewed but if the characters change then let it go. Writers can’t leave good enough alone and always mess up a great show.
