What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Lethal Weapon stars Damon Wayans, Clayne Crawford, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney, and Michelle Mitchenor. The comedic buddy cop action drama centers on two very different cops working together on the streets of Los Angeles. While family man Roger Murtaugh (Wayans) has everything to live for, is there nothing Martin Riggs (Crawford) won’t sacrifice to avenge the loss of his own family? In season two, Murtaugh tries to support Riggs, while still keeping his own family in mind and trying to avoid the chaos his partner seems to seek.
Season One Ratings
The second season of Lethal Weapon averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 viewer demographic and 4.11 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 37% in the demo and down by 37% in viewers. Learn how Lethal Weapon stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FOX cancel or renew Lethal Weapon for season three? The ratings are way down when compared to the first season’s numbers, likely because the series was moved to a new night and away from the network’s top-rated Empire series. For now, I think it will land a renewal, mostly because FOX has lots of other lower-rated shows. However, there have reportedly been some issues with Crawford so that could scuttle the renewal. Not such a fan of this show anymore. Rigg’s character is so stupid and unreal that I don’t like it anymore.
This was the best show ever! We totally enjoyed the crazy but good hearted Riggs and the relationship between the 2 partners. They should totally bring it back!
When a lethal weapon was first talked about like most fans it was our worst nightmare. But yet like most I watched it and it’s been done very well. The chemistry works brilliantly. And could not wait for a 2nd season. In the UK we are only 2 episodes in and find myself screaming for more. Hope it does get picked up for a 3rd season. Fingers and toes crossed.
My husband and I can’t get enough of this show. It has heart. It is hilarious. It provides excitement, compelling drama, and we would be DEVASTATED if it gets cancelled. The actors are wonderful.
love this show ,, couldnt have found 2 greater people to play riggs and murtaugh i loved the movies,, think story needs little more umpth. first series was great, 2nd no basis for a story it was kinda all over the place, but the actors are fantastic, keep it up fox, loving the shows u pop out,, its when u stop. and we have to wait 2 mnths or more ,, by them you forget the story lines, so i would say.. dont leave spaces between shows so long it only puts people off. as they loose intrest ,, idea… Read more »
I agree totally about the gaps I firmly believe this is what causes good shows too lose ratings they show a few then it vanishes for several weeks it leaves the zietgiest and then returns for a few more weeks then vanishes again..need better continuity on all good shows..very frustrating otherwise..I’m sure they never used to be like this .
Please do what you have to do to keep Lethal Weapon on the air. New time? I don’t care what you guys have to do. Empire has had its time in the sun but this show is heartfelt, action pack, and fun. Empire? Really? I think we’ve had enough of that.

Renew renew renew …. for all that is good in the world RENEW!!!!! Love this show, the characters……so season 2 didn’t have the same budget for blowing tings up…. it was still binge worthy and I would actually watch it all over again…. and I don’t do that….

Was a great show until they made it ok for cops to consume marijuana. Than the “Conspiracy Theory” show!!! Tired of all these shows blatantly shoving political agendas down the American Publics throats! CANCEL THIS FAR GONE POLITICAL SHOW!
Lethal Weapon is a fantastic show. There’s nothing else out there that compares. Why don’t you move it to Wednesdays in Star’s timeslot. The only reason Star gets any ratings at all is because after Empire, there’s virtually no competition. As well as the fact that there are already a boatload of mediocre shows where wanna-be singers try to make good.
Please keep the show going, i love this show it is funny and entertaining and we need to see Riggs settle down with a family.
It is opposite NCIS, so what do they expect it to do in rankings? Still, I taped and watched it rather than watch Bull. I really hope it gets renewed.
