The game is over. The Let’s Ask America game show, which was developed for Scripps by Telepictures, has been cancelled after three seasons on the air.
Currently hosted by Bill Bellamy, Let’s Ask America is a daily half-hour game show that polls citizens about fun and irreverent topics to find out what they’re thinking. Contestants can compete from their own homes.
A Scripps spokesperson told Broadcasting & Cable “In reviewing the data after three seasons of the game show, we see that the audience affinity settled at a level that is below where we want it to be.”
The List, The Now, and RightThisMinute — Scripps’ three other original first-run shows — will remain on the air and in production.
What do you think? Do you like this game show? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled?
I loved the show want it back on. I thought Bill Bellamy was a great host.
Loved the show. Can’t believe it’s cancelled. There are way to many “news” type shows on already.
Yes, I was looking for “Let’s Ask America” and it was gone!! i liked that show and looked forward to it every evening. Liked Bill Bellamy too. Please bring it back!
Good riddance. The Scripps original programming junk bumped my beloved Jeopardy from 4:30 to 4:00 now to 3:30, the less of their recycled, partially local mess the better. I don’t live in the city their affiliate is located, I don’t want to watch programming based around it.
I loved that show Bill was hilarious! Please bring it back!
I’m so, so disappointed. This was my husband’s and my favorite daytime show — it’s such a “feel good” show. We planned our day around it.
My wife and I look forward to the show hope some one else picks up on it. Like everything it’s all about the $$$.
I am so upset!! I love this show!! My Family and I look forward every day to watching this show. I have never written before about a show being cancelled but I am about this one. I really want it brought back! Please reconsider!! Thank you for your consideration.
Let’s Ask America should NOT be cancelled! In my area (Clarkston, MI) it is a perfect substitute for news and “reality” programs…or other old fashioned game shows. It is technologically advanced, appeals to all ages and is FUN!
Bring it back!!!!!
Thank You!
Sandie
I really enjoyed the show. The time slot it was in was perfect. It was a time that me and my husband could spend quality time together. Our schedules was always busy.We always looked forward to see what America thoughts was on the questions. The shows that are on now really sucks. Please bring the show back.
Loved the show before they replaced the host with Bellamy. There was nothing clean about the questions and I had to change the channel when it came on for the sake of my five year old. I wish they would bring the old host back and clean up the questions. Guess that’s all null and void at this point.
We watched this show every night and are very disappointed that it is no longer on. Please bring it back. We need more shows like this to make us laugh and that we can play along with too. TMZ is taking the place and it just is stupid! We have nothing to watch now from 7:30 to 8:00 pm. BRING BACK LET’S ASK AMERICA!!!!!
whats up with this? The viewers could have at least been given a warning ahead of time. So I will give them ( “A BIG BOO ” and my “ONION AWARD” for that. I can’t believe a show that was so lighthearted and fun with a very funny host was taken off. Who ever is in charge of doing stuff like this needs a big kick in the pants!! And that is putting it very mildly!
Good clean family fun and an all around great show. Please bring it back
We want this funny and light hearted game show back on. We love the host and the people who come to play…Bring it back to Cleveland viewers!!!
