TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
… and here we go again …. reminds me of what happened to another fantastic show, “The Assets”. Guess if you are not in the “demographic” range, you just do not count at all. How very disappointing of A&E. Will think twice before I watch another “series” on that channel again Just leave your viewers hanging and never give them any sort of closure. Shame on you A&E!
Why cancel a wholesome show? I looked forward to this every week. You left too many story lines unfinished. Please bring it back.

Great show great cast. What are you thinking?
Hope you can bring Longmire back for a “proper” conclusion. It’s much liked here
in the Western states.
Why was this show cancelled? This was one of the best series on TV!
Are you people trying to piss us off? If that is your mission!!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! One of the few programs that is actually worth watching and you want to cancel it. This is the very reason I will not watch your channel every again. Thanks for nothing !!
This is one show that we REALLY liked and did not miss. Story line was good, actors were great. There is obviously something wrong with the network. We will not be going to A&E for our movies anymore unless they bring back Longmire. Also liked Everglades and it went away.
It’s a wonderful show if A&E can’t see that then sell it to Netflix, I am sure they can develop it beyond the 3 season.
This show was the best thing A&E had going, why is it being cancelled
I would just like to say that if Longmire is cancelled I will no longer watch anything on your chanel .It is not fair to the numerous viewers who have been waiting for the conclusion to just drop the show. We don’t need another cold case show .There are already numerous ones on TV.I probably will not be the only one of the millions of viewers who watched it that will no longer watch your chanel.Put your new show on and see how many viewers you lose
Longmire took me back to the days of the cowboy hero. I guess that lets you know what demographic I’m in. There are a lot of people who evidently feel the way I do, which is disappointed, disgruntled, disillusioned, disrespected, and downright mad! It must be better to have an eating show, or a “reality” show than have a show that had some substance to it . Just once I would like to see a network focus group that listened to all of the good people who actually cared about it viewers. Please bring Longmire back and if that is… Read more »
I really liked this show – and I need to see a definitive ending – or I will lose faith in all TV shows – the networks obviously don’t care what the viewing public wants.
Best show on TV! Hands Down!!!!!!!!!! A&E your a FOOL!
Amazing all the stupid shows on a&e and you people chose to cancel Longmire .
I agree
One of the best series to date. If a&e cancels, I will no longer view any program on a&e
